Looking for some grindy bass tones, ideally big ampeg 8x10 tones. not a great amount on the rig exchange and its hard to tell from the commercial ones I've found. something akin to the bass tone on later alice in chains albums, celebrity skin (pretty sure this is a blend with a marshall guitar amp) etc.
Best big/distorted ampeg profile?

(see my sig)I have! Not really found what I'm looking for in this case, although there is some cool stuff in there

For recording I only use guidos bass pack:
http://www.guidorist.com/produkt/kemper-amp-profiles-aswete/
For my taste very good ampeg profiles.
Don't sit next to my kemper at the moment but I think in this pack there are not distorted profiles.
But maybe you can add with a FX the desired distortion.

HTH.I can recommend this as well. There are distorted profiles in there (not crazy distorted, but good fat sounds that sit well).
My go-to, however, is from ampsound.eu. I use one of their SVT profiles with the gain turned up I believe it's called AV4B.

Thanks guys, appreciate the suggestions. Demo's sound promising. Keep them coming!
They don't have to be mega distorted (I'll run a sansamp/guitar amp in parallel), but something with a bit of brightness, grind and the kind of low end a loud cab makes.

I posted some bass cab IRs in the free section, add them to a guitar amp profile and they work great for bass.

That's a good one that I use occasionally myself. I should point out that it's not an SVT however, but an Ampeg V4B. I've had several versions of both and the V4B is far superior in the tone department IMHO. It's barky versus the farty SVT thing. I currently have a vintage SVT head being used to prop up a guitar speaker in my studio for easier mic access.

I was really happy with the double impact bass ones, they had a lot of variety/pedals in there,
i was using a 9 string as a bass, i bet they would sound better on bass no doubt, at least have a listen to them.
Did not know Guido had one thanks guys will check it outAsh
