I love the Kemper Powerhead. My issue is that everytime I shut it down, it pops my speaker cabinet. If I'm playing at loud volumes it is a loud pop! I don't want to turn the volume down or disconnect my speaker cable everytime I turn it off. I thought FW 4.0 was suppose to fix that. It fixed a similar issue with other outputs but not the powered output to a speaker cabinet. Thank you.

I was hoping for the same fix.
In the meantime, you can go into Output and uncheck the power amp. there's still a light pop, but but better than popping a cone!

I believe I have done this before it there was no difference, was the same outcome. I will try again this evening.

Is that the noise you hear?
(sorry, couldn't resist)

HA! Good one!
It's more like......cRACkle POP duff...
Am I the only one who experiences this? Or do other power head/rack users just deal with it? Or it is a lost cause for a 'feature request'?

Yes, there is a power-dump when switching off.
If it's possible and safe to do change this then I'm all for it.

You could unplug the output before shutting it down.

Same here. I have the monitor output into the ISP Stealth and into a 2x12
Peace

The ideal way to shut down speakers is by switching them off, that way they won't pop. If that isn't possible, lower the volume on the Kemper, disengage the power amp section (or Turn monitor output to off) and then turn the chicken head to off.
Power on in the same way. They might not seem like much but those pops can damage your speakers.

It should be investigated why your iphone prefers shit to shut tho

It's actually really dumb viabcroce. I might have typed something entirely different through some error and it would have auto corrected to shit.
Some of the irritating things for the iPhone spell check... For example, if I want to write top, it will always make it "TOP". If I just want to say "friend", it will always be "Friend" with an uppercase F, even in the middle of a sentence. Other irritating stuff too. Really, really bad, I didn't have so many problems with Android spell check.

Yeah, my tel does the same... seems like it's remembering the last time I've "taught" it a word, whichever way I had written it (in my case it is "You")
:p
