Well, I finally received my "new" Atomic clr from Andertons...this is crazy, I'm speechless. Externally and internally damaged, absolutely dead.

Highly unpleasant surprise from UPS
-
-
Yeesh!
-
Yes, it's a painful sight. And I can't even try it before return, neither channel is functional:/
-
That's bad! I would say its more likely down to the courier company than Andertons. I'm pretty sure Andertons will put it right they are a great company
-
No doubt about it, I blame only UPS for that massacre.

Perhaps you should change the subject to "Highly unpleasant surprise from UPS" ? -

YIKES!! That sucks, damariachi.
What does the external, cardboard shipping box look like? I assume there had to be serious damage to the box. I hope you noticed damage and took some photos, as a record. This will help you with your claim against UPS.
-
Was there damage to the shipping box that correlates to the damage on the CLR? Man, that sure did take a beating and wasn't on the winning end either. Sorry
-
Perhaps you should change the subject to "Highly unpleasant surprise from UPS" ?This! No doubt Andertons will keep you sorted soon. I like very much the fact that Atomicamps now works with a proper dealer and does not not only do direct sales/service.
-
The damage on the box itself is minimal, except for one angle. I assume the package has fallen from big height on this angle in particular.

Looks pretty evident that it was damaged while in the box. Good luck!
-
can you tell if that's the normal packaging from Atomic, or maybe if re-boxed by dealer? For a speaker weighing over 40lbs I would expect a bit more heavy duty shipping materials and packaging....Hope you get it replaced soon....CLR is next on my wish list....
-
To me it looks like the original package.
But if it fell off the UPS truck.... -
Did the Ace Ventura delivering it?

Definitely unpleasant, not much of a surprise. UPS can do magic when it comes to damaging items. I recently shipped a pair of high end studio monitors to a buyer. One arrive in perfect condition, and the other one was smashed to hell. Not even sure how they pulled that off, with them both being in the same box and all. Mag.......gic..........
-
Yeah, we NEVER ship UPS. Ever. Period.
It's all USPS and FedEx for anything important/expensive.
-
Fedex is the worst according to what I hear!!
-
This really doesn't surprise me at all. I used to work for a company called 'Sound Control'. My store was in Milton Keynes. UK.We had to stop using UPS (Useless Parcel Services) as the totally ruined a very expensive Korg Oasis keyboard and I was told by a driver that they 'lost' a Boeing 747 wheel!
Have you seen how big they are! LOST!
WTF!
I tend to not true any courier. They all seem to suck. Andertons are the best musical retailer I have ever felt with, they'll sort it.
Hope you get a resolution quickly. -
Shit like this happens when handling millions of packages a day no matter who the shipment is with. You have to make sure items are fully insured when packages are shipped as well as packing the items anticipating they are going to be dropped. Still sucks but I'm sure the dealer will have to send you another and deal with ups on the claim.
