Thx so much, Stefano.
We have some cool amps on our profile list. But the VOX AC 30 isn't on there yet because we'll start with a VOX AC 15. But I hear you....

Maestro, I'm confused by this.I've been sweatin' over which Luke to order for several months now; I'm not able to try in person. It'll be my only "proper" (non-Line6) guitar and will be used for everything except some esoteric sounds.
...I therefore figured it'll have to be an LIII or a Luke II, and that is where I get confused. They're so different in tone that I feel I'd need both - only, I can't afford this!...
My Musicman LIII HH blue came yesterday
Just an awsome guitar !!
Recomended
John
See? Folks love their Luke IIs and their LIIIs. I know I'll love both, but just one will have to do for probably a few years 'till I can get the second.I do rocky / poppy / funky / ballady / EDMmy / everythingy stuff, so whichever is more tonally versatile is probably the one to go for first.
At this rate it feels like I'll never know for sure. Please feel free to enlighten this confused simian, Guido... or anyone!
I don't mean to divert your thread, Maestro; I'm sorry about this. I couldn't resist seeing as the Luke was mentioned...

I would also love to see some killer Vox AC30 profiles from you @Guidorist.
By the way, your XTC profiles are amazing. I had the good fortune to play the real thing not too long ago and as soon as I tried your profiles I knew you absolutely nailed it. Way to go.

And again, thx so much for your compliments and sweet words! :-)))

HI Frank, I didn't update yet because i'm a bit afraid to use a beta on my next gigs. But did YOU try it out with our profiles? How they sound with Pure cab then?

I am on beta. I think for the clean tones pure cab is a big shot. Can't say why exately but imho there is a little eq in it or a a thing that reminds me of a shaper. For some clean rigs it worked very well. For the distorted sounds i use (petrucci tones) it's top for soloing because it cut the harsch high frequenzy and they sound are a little smoother, for clear rythm sounds its not my cup of tea because it muffeld a little bit. My wish was to have it in the cab section and i could store it for a rig and not global. At this time i use it at point 3,4. Bevore i used it at 5,5 but the rythm sound was a little dull, especially with the warm profiles of the JTM (in German "etwas matschig oder besser etwas dumpfer, die berühmte Wolldecke über dem Speaker, aber wirklich nur ein wenig). The function would be great, if its storable per rig.
cheers

Just wanted to say I got the soldano and the Marshall cab is worth saving for use. Very nice and improves many rigs Try that out too.
regarding pure cab I agree 100% it needs to be rig specific as overdriven /distortion sounds worse with it in imo.
However its quite nice in certain clean or light gain Rigs. I like between 4.3 and 5.5.
-
THX for your purchase! ,-)
I found out that i like the pure cab more around 3-4 to cut off a little fizz.. But it depends always which rig is used. On some rigs sometimes it's just subtile. So i think it's a great feature when the rig sounds a bit too harsh then it could help a lot. But on the other side I never would use a harsh sounding rig anyways. -
