Did you manage to request performance info manually from the Profiler?
Performance name, slot name etc.?

I didn't try yet. Are you interested in that part of editor?
Seems that non existing function code $46 for requesting extended parameters do not work for me:(
I can send some parameters with $06 (i know how to encode 5 byte nrpn's and values) but in standart doccument there is no function for requesting them.
I must to dig into it:)
Hi
Any news ? this thread was so profilic, and nothing since once month. Something I have missed ?

Sorry - I was little busy lately.

Hi,
From someone who unfortunately has no programming skills, I'm trying to understand....is there an editor that I can download and use while the continued development goes on?
Cheers,
Andy

Everything is in first post - reread it fully - see attachment.
You have to download Ctrlr program for your os (and install it) and the panel (attachment in first post or from other links ). Run ctrlr and open the panel - and set up your midi device in the menu.
Thanks - I'll try it...
So, this works with MIDI cable or (also?) with the USB cable connected?
My gut feeling says the first one but doesn't hurt to ask I guess
Thanks

I haven't a clue as to how to do this.
Any plans on updating?
Any plans on updating?
My theory.
No more updating, community projekt!
Because , They know ,,Official editor is coming"
Maeby conspiracy theory:-)
I will try to answer .
@MirekGR10
No I don't know of any Editor plans - I wish I know this too.
@BulldogXTRM
1.I really don't know if I have a time to do something new. Right now I'm enjoy to play with KPA.
Winter nights can be boring enough to work on this further
2.There are really large amount of parameters in KPA to take care
On the other hand MIDI interface is too slow to get all the parameters up to date live.
There is also some KPA issues with large data requests (KPA hang with MIDI TX error).
I have done some basic MIDI communication with midi via USB and custom driver(3rd paty filter driver libusb which is no longer supported) - but is only for private use... - only for windows.
P.S. In the panels posted in this thread you will find almost all MIDI messages to implement an Editor via CTRLR program.
But look - there are great users who contributed in this thread and have scarified a lot of their time to do something:
-Laurent (GuyTarero) - thank you for scripting ideas and tag edition
-Elvis Ciafrone (Sandokan71) - than you for your inspirational nice ideas and good looking interfaces of your panels
-OldShredderhand - for some nice inspiration to work and leave the project
My purpose was to show that it is possible to create the editor via MIDI .
This project also had to show that there is a user need for an editor (34,978 views,352 replies, 59 thanks).
Stay tuned
And much appreciated ... Thanks to all
