...it seems that the Direct Profiles profiling mode it would be easier with the manual selecting Cabinet possibility...
-
Just installed...
Works so far
-
Running good here
-
Installed.
This week I'll try and profile a couple amps for which 3.0.1 didn't recognize direct profiling automatically. I'll report back.
-
Stable performance here.
-
Stable and dsp error I was getting while using the Remote is fixed.
-
I assume the 3.0.2 Beta is compatible with the current version of the Rig Manager - Correct?
-
Stable performance here.
...but, you knew that.
-
All good here too, so far
-
Yep all so far..

My constant freezing when changing rankings or working on more than 1 rig at a time or editing rigs causing RM or Profiler to freeze is much improved; I can still get RM to freeze during syncing rigs by changing more than 1 rig at a time but it's vastly improved. Good update!

Is this synching with Rig Exchange when you first launch Rig Manager? I have a suggestion .... you could wait for it to finish synching before switching rigs

Works ok for me.

This is fixed in the next version of Rig Manager. In the meantime: don't preview rigs during sync.

HAHA, Yes, but for the longest time I did not understand why the rigs were freezing. Only recently I made discovery to figure out how this was happening. But you are right. Unfortunately for me, at this time, I'm going through 700 rigs and rating them to later compare 4 and 5 star ratings and make (a very small amount) of core favorite profiles; so the problem has been exasperating at this time since I'm auditioning some profiles for a short amount of time and moving to next. Paul, to answer your question, it's not when syncing when first starting up; it's when syncing any time I make a change to a profile.
Normally this won't be much of an issue, and thankfully the latest firmware does fix this mostly; and I've discovred how to rank profiles without the long 'syncing 1 of 5' wait (while syncing only 1 file) by avoiding scrolling the ratings dropdown and just clicking the rating I want.
Good to hear this will be fixed in future firmware, personally I can't wait to be able to manage my performance slots!

First profiling tests done with 3.0.2 beta.
I was finally able to direct profile one of my amps for which Kemper doesn't recognize direct signal automatically, by using the manual "No Cabinet" option. This is a handwired 18-watter, cathode biased, dual EL84.
So I was able to profile this reasonably well, but had one problem: When monitoring with headphones, Kemper didn't seem to be able to match the volume of the Profile and the Reference amp. Right after profiling, the Reference amp was louder, and after some refining the Profile was louder. This obviously made it impossible to reliably compare the tone, so I can't say whether the profile is authentic.
I haven't experienced this type of a problem with earlier FW versions. I'll try another amp tomorrow.
