So my KFC is coming friday and I will be at work. I have a show FRI night. What's the likelihood I can literally grab the KFC and Kemper and plug and play with my existing Browser mode midi assignments I currently use with my FCB?
Grab and go?

You'll be better off arranging your profiles in Performance mode beforehand. Rig selection in Browse mode works differently with the Kemper Remote: it doesn't use the midi assignments but simply lets you browse through your rigs, in groups of five, according to your current browsing view and sort criteria (e.g., "Favorites by Author Name").
Good news is: setting up Performance mode is quick and easy, and it is perfectly integrated with the Remote. You should even be able to assign buttons to switch effects on or off before your Remote arrives: the new firmware has a configuration page for this in the Rig Menu.
If you make sure your KPA's firmware is up to date and you have your profiles sorted in Performances, you'll be good to go.
PS. If you haven't already, it's a good idea to download the "Profiler Remote Quick Start Guide" as well as the latest version of the "Deeper View and Reference Manual" beforehand so you'll be prepared.

Remember that assignment to switches I- IIII is on a per rig basis. Assignment therefore can take you a while depending on the number of rigs you use although the assignment itself is easy-peasy.

If you dont use too many rigs with effects/stomp assignments in performance mode i'd go for it. Shouldnt take you to long to be up and running

I guess that info would have help:
I use 2-4 rigs per show.
I have a mission pedal now for Volume, and a crybaby in front.
The only stomp I really use is a boost and some delay, but I could also add an always on loop in the stomp and put my GEQ pedal there and stomp that on/off for a "global" boost.

Well 4 rigs takes you 2 minutes programming/assigning max.
Also for 4 rigs you can Stay in BM as well. Just make sure to group your rigs in a group of five, like 01-05, to have them in succession on your profiler and the Remote. -
I'm not adverse to performance mode. Could be fun!

Putting them in a Performance Bank is very quick, and does not require renaming them.
You can do that part before the Remote appears.
My favorite way to add rigs to a Performance is with Rig Manager:
1) Select a Performance/Slot on the KPA.
2) doubleclick on the Rig in RE - the rig will appear in the KPA
3) SAVE the Performance.
Done.Repeat for additional rigs. When your Remote arrives, you can assign the switches and the pedal for each rig.

I did this very thing, I received my remote last Friday and used it Sunday. No problem. I only set up a few performances though, but it was really quick and easy to setup, I would go for it!

Couldn't be better timing. The place we are playing has the tiniest stage in mankind so reducing down from the FCB will be nicey nice.
