any news on bug fixes yet? Mine is due today or tomorrow and really want to use it at a gig this weekend but not without the fixes...

If you managed to snag FW2.8, then you can use that with the Remote, although it's not got the set up page in the System menu and the upgraded rig switching times aren't implemented.
Cheers,

If you use 2.8 and then upgrade to 3.0 you will lose all your I-IIII pedal assignments and have to redo them when you go to 3.0 I've been using 3.0 for a few gigs now and all as been fine

Back when they first showed pictures of the remote, In another early thread I questioned the trim pot and its vulnerability when transporting.
An access hole or a flat round flush knob would have made more sense. They thought to to protect the screen but not the knob sticking out the back.
Part of the reason for its small size was portability. There are other things to consider when making something portable.Agreed. That knob should be recessed. It wouldn't strike me as a function needing quick access to adjust most times. I am a bit more concerned about the robustness of the network cable points in particular the one to the rear of the KPA which has no strain relief or protection. If the KPA is on a stand that network cable is quite stiff and sits out a bit putting a bit of strain on that connector. To my eyes a midi cable connection looks more solid...

Looks like my remote will be at least a day late. I asked UPS to deliver to the local ups store since I can't be home to sign for it. It was supposed to be delivered to me today but the store never received it.

I'm sitting here with bated breath, I paid for my Remote yesterday at 6 am, and it still has not shipped .

Mine had shipped 2 days before I was sent tracking.

Thank you!

I would say 2.8 was not as stable with the remote as 3.0, plus you lose all your assignments when going from 2.8 to 3.0

Can rig manager be downgraded?

There's a thread about that somewhere. It can be done, but there are some files that need to be deleted manually first.PS what Raoul said about 2.8 and the Remote is spot on. I upgraded to 3.0 anyway, and even though there are a few niggles (from what I read, mostly with Merged rigs which I am not using live yet), I think it's probably worth it. It's actually essential if you're planning on using expression pedals plugged into the Remote.

I won't be using expression pedals...I only really need to switch like 5 rigs and effects on/off
I will also be profiling in the next few weeks and also doing final tweaks next week on profiles. Hoping the firmware doesn't change the profiles that were just made.

This is defo the best way to go IMO

I will say 3.0 is stable enough if you don't use merged profiles.

totally agree with this

3.0 seems stable with the remote so far...tried the new factory rigs but really wasn't impressed with most of them so just deleted them all.

Great reviews @sambrox and @merman9393. This really looks like a great device and I'm glad you find it so intuitive.
