After months of waiting I finally received my Profiler Remote today. It worked great straight out of the box. I played with it for a while and was very pleased. I came back later in the day to play some more and after booting up my Kemper the remote just scrolls black lines up and down. It doesn't respond to anything. I've tried everything I know to try and still can't get it to respond. Does anyone know of a way to reset the remote? I can't find any kind of troubleshooting info on it. I really hope after this long wait that I haven't received a defective remote.

Hate to hear that.
This is one of the exact reasons I decided to make do with the fcb and UNO4Kemper chip until the remotes are readily available off the shelf. Hope it works out for you!

I would suggest you contact the support team:

This is very strange I would contact support about this

I can't find any kind of troubleshooting info on it.
Please contact support, they'll be able to help.

Oh, oh... bad news...
I hope you'll find a quick solution. Good luck. -
I contacted support last night via email. I had a reply this morning that they would have their US representative contact me about an exchange. I haven't heard from him yet, but hopefully will soon. I really hope I don't end up on a waiting list again for a replacement.

Looks like mine is a dud too - just arrived today. The brightness control on the remote LCD worked for a while then it stopped. All the functions are fine but the screen isn't illuminated. It all seems to work but you just can't see any detail as the backlight isn't there. Gutted. Tried a different network cable but still the same.ill get onto support.

Have you tried the contrast setting within the System menu? I thought my LCD was knackered yesterday, it was borderline unreadable unless at a precise angle, adjusted the contrast and now it's as bright and clear as anything
-
yeah I tried that setting but nothing at all. The other LCDs all work but no backlight.

I would hope this is a freak thing here. There are only so many released at this point.
Why has nobody made any videos of them reviewing and using their Remotes?
Everybody was all giddy and waiting to receive them and now they are out and nothing.
Did I miss something somewhere?
-
Somehow it makes me glad that I'm still waiting...
-
Same!!!!! Hopefully these are just some simple bugs that were in the manufacturing process.
Though things like this could turn my week 18 into week 38! Yikes!
-
Kind of dissapointing to hear. I hope every one gets there problems sorted quickly

I just received mine today. Updated firmware to 3.0 Release. The screen worked for a minute and now, mine also has nice black lines scrolling across the screen.

Uh oh.........

Does it look dull and liney? (But OK on boot up?) If so, reduce the contrast in the System menu on the Kemper
-
The remote has its own contrast button, right?
-
Mine just has lines that scroll up and down the screen with no backlight. In the system menu the remote settings aren't accessible. It acts like it doesn't even have a remote connected. I was hoping to hear from the US rep this morning but still haven't heard from anybody. Anybody else having similar issues?

It doesn't surprise me that no one has called you back. Kemper really has no clue what the words "Customer Service" mean.
