As you read in the subject of this thread, I already know that I will regret about what I did the day before yesterday: I have sold my KPA!!!
I have to face some expenses at home and I didn't resist when a friend of mine offered me a very good price.
I do not exclude I will buy a new KPA in the near future but this is it for the moment. Of course I hope to be back soon.
I want to thank everybody in this forum, where I've learned a lot about our beautiful machine.

I think that the "wah/volume" pedal is a great option but, at the same time, it is necessarily a compromise. Whatever solution you adopt, some people will be happy with it, some will not.
I have decided to use a separate volume pedal in front of KPA and two expression pedals for everything else (including the new morph...).

My toaster never crashed (I don't install new firmwares in beta version).

Perfect tone for this kind of music.

I have read over the internet some complaints about Atomic Amps support.
This is my experience.
Two years and a half ago I bought two CLR cabs, wedge version. I am more than happy with them and I think that they really are the best for the price.
Two weeks ago I heard some unusual noises coming from one of them. I changed the cables, I checked everything but I realized that it was a problem of the amp section of one cab.
I sent an email to the Atomic Amp Support and Tom King immediately replied to me, planning the replacement of the amp (which is very easy to replace).
After less than two weeks I have my wedges working perfectly, with no cost for me (not even the shipment).

I am one of the few (may be the only one) that prefers to have the volume pedal in front of the KPA and two expression pedals for all the other things.
In this case the volume pedal behaves exactly as the volume knob on my guitar.
When I switch rigs/performances I have the volume of my pedal... I think this is the only way you can get what you are asking for.

Imagine you are on stage and you have ordered your performances from 1 to 50+ according to your playlist... the game is done!!!
This is how you have to organize your performances: differently from rigs mode, the performance mode is meant to follow your gig on stage.
If I use the same tone in many songs, I save it in many performances, exactly in the sequence that I need it.
I hope my poor English language has been clear enough...

Check Maurizio70 profiles. He posts his rigs following the artist/song criteria (and I like his tones a lot).
As far as Petrucci is concerned I think that Djemass rigs are among the best ones.
