Hey folks!
I'm the guitarist in russian prog fusion band "Jam It!". We've been playing for 5 years together. However, I play guitar much much longer and used a lot of different gear. I owned Mesa Boogie Triaxis, Peavey Classic, Triple XXX and more. Played through Mesa Dual Rec, Bogner Ubershall, VHT Ultra-Lead and etc. Of course different processors like Line 6 X3 Live and Boss GT-8. But nothing was good enough to cover all my needs. Like, Triaxis is amazing preamp and in couple with decent tube poweramp it covers any live sound I need. However it is not that easy to capture it in home studio - you still need poweramp and cab and mics. It has recording output with cabsim but it sounds crappy. All the digital stuff I had is versatile enough and sounds acceptable through tube poweramp but it's a pain in the ass to make a nice record with them.
I was about to buy AXE FX II in autumn 2012. I looked though the reviews and demos online when I found a comparision video of AXE and Kemper. Never heared of Kemper before. I started diging the info and at some point realized that this is exactly what I want!
It is a blessing! Covers everything in studio and live. It's like playing tube amp, but you can control the sound and make it very quiet and record at night having all the saturation and harmonics of 100 Watts amp. It is definitely best investment in my music gear!
Here're some video recordings of our band. Used Kemper for guitars and bass.
