Chorus, flanger, phaser etc. Just out of curiosity, anyone tried to do it as a mad professor experiment to see what comes out the other end?
Anyone tried to profile an amp with a modulation fx in the chain?

The profiling stops and gives an error message

really?
for fun I profiled just a chorus pedal I turned into a vibrato (*snip*) a while ago.
during the profiling the modulation was clearly audible. The profile sounded like a nice, dry DI signal, so I added a highpass filter, compressor and EQ in front, tweaked the amp & EQ a bit, added more effects (EQ, vibrato, tap delay, hall reverb) and ended up with a effects heavy, acoustic like sound when played with the neck pickup of a strat.
maybe it would have sounded the same with the chorus pedal in bypass during profiling, but thanks for the idea, at least it led to one more clean sound for the profiler.edit: uploaded to Rig Exchange

I've tried switching on the chorus in S-Gear and it gave me error, fine without chorus. Must try it again...

I think that the results may be very different when trying to profile a real chorus pedal vs one inside a modeler. The way modelers are built and functions is very different from both real pedals and amps.
Experiment and see what happens is the way to go.
