With the Kemper player I assigned bank up and down to footswitch 1 & 3. The two footswitch-led are constantly yellow and blue.
I think could be really useful to have them representing the colour of the bank that will be activated by pressing the footswitch. Or even better having the internal led representing the next bank, and the other for the "next next".
Bonus: I'll finally lern the sequence of color 😂
I’m not sure I see any advantage to that. The current Bank can already be seen from the LED above the Bank Button and above the individual Rig buttons. The purpose of having the consistent colours above the bank up/down footswitches is to help orient you to their purpose. Changing this would be a backward step in my opinion.
Exactly for this reason I found them a bit misleading. I will have this footswitch doing this function probably for the whole life, so you know what they do. Contrariwise, you see yellow leds, but when you press it the bank uploaded is maybe the red.
I kindo of see your point but equally, if you are using the device regularly enough to know what the footswitches do then it should be just as easy to get in the habit of looking at the lights above the Bank Button or the Rig Buttons rather than the footswitches. I still think changing the behaviour of the footswitch LEDs would be more confusing and therefore a backwards step.
