You didn't carry the 1, its actually 3.419%...
Just got to add here I also went down the tube upgrade rabbit hole back in the day and totally agree with what everyone has said. I spent a fair amount on Tungsol's, matched JJ's etc....
Yes there is a difference but its relatively small. Small is relative to the attention you pay to it. I'm sure Eric Johnson will tell you there is a big difference between the metal used on jack plugs, but would I notice...nah.
Same concept as true bypass and cables, I spend a lot on my pedal board putting in van damme cable with crazy expensive custom jack plugs...that kept failing...
Thank goodness my Kemper has helped get rid of that nonsense...

maths was never my strong point 😵💫

i’m sure I saw Eric Johnson say recently that digital stuff has gotten so good that he can barely tell the difference.

They vary as any profiler will tell you. When you do it "right", you cannot tell the difference with studio headphones or monitors. And as far as in a mix goes, I doubt anyone could tell. I have some 800s that I've profiled, but I prefer to use someone else's amps that are the sound I want.
I wouln't characterize going from 'cheap stock tubes' (whatever that is) to JJs as a significant upgrade.
I agree - I wouldn't characterise it as "a significant upgrade"; more like "a noticable difference" (still based on this one experiment).
