I tried resetting the global setting but it hasn't made a difference - still losing monitor volume as soon as I start playing
Any other thoughts?

Have you seen my questions?
Could the MASTER VOLUME pot be the trouble maker? What if you unlink Monitor Output Volume testwise?
If the Monitor Output Volume on page Output Volumes in Output Settings is moving by itself, this could have various reasons:
1. the pot of soft button 2 is defective. This should then also show on other screens e.g. the "MIddle" on the play page should also move by itself.
2. an expression pedal is conencted and configured as Monitor Volume Pedal and there is a cable plugged in but no pedal at the other end or these are defective
3. MIDI CC# 73 is received, which controls Monitor Output Volume
Thanks for the suggestion - have checked all of these and it's none of them unfortunately
Fairly sure this is a hardware issue but ive not heard back from Kemper in 3 days - starting to panic as I have gigs coming up and need this fixing quickly.
Does it happen on all rigs? Does it happen if the Kabinet is not connected (maybe check with headphones with it disconnected)?
Are you connecting the Kabinet with a regular 1/4" guitar cable? (Shouldn't be a speaker cable since the Stage is not an amp)
Just to check, are you using an active guitar? Maybe a run-down battery?
I'm still lacking the information, if just Monitor Output Volume is shifting and that perhaps only while the Output Section is open and soft knob 2 controls Monitor Output Volume (perhaps that pot 2 is defective) or if MASTER VOLUME is shifting, which affects all outputs incl. HEADPHONE OUT, if these are linked. In that case perhaps an issue of the MASTER VOLUME pot. What if you turn the MASTER VOLUME knob by 90 degress while the unit is off?
Hi, this Happens to me too. I fix the monitor Volume to 0 dB and once that I play it goes down to - 3dB or 4dB. I thought it was because when is at 0 the Kemper Power speaker distorts a bit and maybe the amp senses that somehow and adjust by itself, but maybe I am wrong. I would like to know more about the problem.
Are you using KEMPER Kone?
The PROFILER logic includes a wattage limiter.
If Kemper Kone Mode is on
and
the PROFILER has no built-in power amp or it has, but the built-in power amp is switched off
and
the calculated wattage reflected by the Wattage Meter exceeds the 200 watts power handing of the KEMPER Kone,
it automatically reduces Monitor Volume to protect the speaker chassis.
This should practically not happen, if you have set volume at the KEMPER Power Kabinet to maximum as suggested.
Also check Power Amp Boost. It's default setting is 6dB.
With these setting the 200 watts should hardly be reached.
Burkhard, Thanks for your explanation. Now I understand.
Yes thanks Burkhard. This was happening to me if I tried to restrict volume at the Kabinet level. Leaving it at maximum volume is the key. Plus it feels good to dime it
