Why are there two LEDs for the Delay effect soft button position?

Why are there two LEDs for the Delay effect soft button position while only 1 LED for each of any other effects soft buttons? What does it mean when both are lit?

This is a historic thing. During the first years the DLY modul was the exclusive location for delay effects and it could host no other effect types. At that time the two LEDs indicated the left and right pattern of the delay effect. Now the delay effects can be in any effect module and any effect type could be hosted in the DLY module. So we got rid of this feature since its purpose would be very limited.
