Mooer GE 200
Hotone Britwind
I'm sure there's lots more. Good luck.

You may as well buy another Kemper cause you’re going to get stuck with whatever you buy him. ? Make it a Kemper Stage so you have both.
If he likes rock - metal and some brown tone, you can get the Marshall Code 25 or 50 dirt cheap. It has some good blues settings and very nice clean tones. The built-in interface is easy to setup with the DAW. It has a studio quality noise gate that I love, and all your other basic effects, but I only used FX plugins with it. The amp sims and cab sims play very well out of a DAW with studio monitors or headphones. Mind you, I never used it with the OEM speaker. It was a good amp to get introduced into the world of modeling and DAW plugins. You can also download the free Code Manager which is a life saver for switching and saving presets with your computer.
NUX MG-300. Not a Kemper, but nice sounds.
Maybe positive grid spark?
Currently available for about 215 €
I love the Yamaha THX for when I need to practise away from my Kemper.

Yep , not funny to sit with a Spark or whatever when your son having fun with "your" KPA

Thanks for All the Suggests!!

I seccond using the Yamaha THX when away from the Kemper. I have the 10C version and absolutely love it. The dynamics are remarkable for such a low price point (you still have to temper your expectations coming from a Kemper). It also works well as a bass amp for noodling around or playing with an acoustic player.
Second Hand Helix Stomp. You will lend his?
Maybe a good scolding! Just joking.
I recommend Fender Champion XL 50.
Awesomely well matched, good sounding Celestion speaker and efects are switched with knobs. Pretty good option on the cheap.
VOX Night Train Head and Box
Looks great, sounds also
If your kid is taking your Kemper then it's obvious any alternative other than another Kemper won't do. Hell of a conundrum mate.
PodGO is quite intriguing.
Serious kudos for supporting your son's music.
Kind of dumb to loan him your Kemper since the consequences were inevitable, but we learn these things the hard way. Buy him an old Pod Bean and tell him the story about walking 10 miles to school in the snow when you were his age. And throw in something about paying your dues.
