I have a pair of JBL308 powered monitors. They sound good but I want a little more volume and dynamics with a bit of thump. Should I get a small powered cab like a Friedman ASC or CLR or should I just add the sub.

Anybody?

I'd try a Kemper Kabinet myself

I have JBL 305's -I play mainly classic rock . 3 Days ago I got a Kemper cab and man this is the way to go I can highly recommend it. Much better sound/thump/amp in the room feel. ( better than the Laney IRT x and the Headrush 108 -which I use for my Tech 21 flyrigs). Besides Kemper keeps improving on their products all the time - no extra cost involved.

I don’t have a powered Kemper, so does it matter what power amp I use? This is for hike playing only btw.
-
We recommend power amps, which are not coloring the sound - so no tube power amps. A powered version of the KEMPET Kabinet is also planned.

Is there any date to develop the powered version? There are lot ofbpeople asking the same question.

It doesn't make sense to promise any dates these days.

So, my biggest question, should I just add a subwoofer to my monitor set up? It’s a small room I’m in, so I don’t need a ton of volume.
