Hello,
I use a Yamaha DXR 12 when I play live, and have always used XLR to XLR, but I have read recently that a TRS coming out of the Kemper into the XLR of the DXR 12 is the better option. Is this true? What is the reason behind this?

I prefer using a 1/4 to 1/4 TS connection to the DXR, because the Line Input does not have the background hiss like the MIC input.

Same here. Better results.
IMO there's no difference (with my DXRs). Just don’t forget to switch the XLR input to Line.
What he said ^^^. (Assuming dxr10s are the same...)
