I have tried putting the kaos file in the root directory and in the OS Update folder and neither will update. I do have a few other things in the root directory including the backup folder. But nothing will update to the beta OS. Any clues??????

I have tried reformatting the usb stick and placing the kaos file in the root and in the OS update file and when I start up nothing.....

download got corrupted? mine installed fine.

I tried multiple times with no luck. Did not try new download because rig manager let me install beta after multiple attempts. The kemper is sure buggy.

A few checks:
First make sure the USB flash drive is recognized by the Profiler. Does "External Storage" appear under soft button 3?
Then make sure, there is only one kaos.bin on that flash drive, and not two for example in the OS Update folder AND the root directory.
Then check the file itself. Does it have an additional extension or it just "kaos.bin"? Does it have a size around 7.8 MB?

I got a "failed to update" message when I just tried. And yes, all of the above are correct in my situation @Burkhard
What next??

If you receive a "failed to update" with a USB stick, start the process from the beginning with another USB stick.

Ah second time was a charm (same USB stick even)!
