hi there,
ive read the official instructions on updating the OS for my kemper. Just wondering if there was any way to do that without using a UBS memory stick? I have a hardwired connection between my computer and the kemper...
thanks,
JR

Only if you're on one of the latest OSes.
You can install KPA OS using the free Rig Manager software available from the Kemper website.

...But your Kemper needs to be on one of the later OSes which supports this feature
I think my kemper currently has version 5.2.0...
Does this qualify as a more recent version of the OS? If so, please advise me on HOW to use the rig manager to do this.
Sorry, but I am not particularly computer savvy...
thanks in advance!

Yes.

It'll automatically offer to update your Kemper every time you boot the app if there's a non-beta release you haven't installed, provided you've set it to do so in its preferences window. You can access the window via the drop-down menus "up top" or if on Mac hit COMMAND-comma. I don't know what the key combo in Windows is.
If you haven't set it to notify you of full releases (non-beta) only, it'll offer to install the in-between "releases" too, which are known as beta versions. These may be a little buggy and are put out for folks to try / test and report issues. Once any issues are fixed, a beta is "elevated" to release level.
Personally, I'd set the preference to notify you of non-beta (full) releases only, just to keep things simpler for now, given your situation.
Now, having done that, if the app doesn't offer to upgrade your Kemper's OS, this would mean that you're up-to-date as far as full releases go. As long as Rig Manager is up-to-date also, you're pretty-much guaranteed that proper two-way communication between the app and your Kemper will prevail.
Good luck, JR.
You'll find a quick list of all the latest releases and other important information in this section of the forum:

Yes, 5.2 should be plenty good to install Rig Manager and use for updates to the KPA.
Thanks all! Shout out to monkey man...
My pleasure, JR. God bless, mate.
