Good evening everyone,
Quick question: Are the INPUT & OUTPUT led's suppose to indicate whether the gains are too hot by turning yellow then red? I thought it use to do this.
Thanks much,
Ken

Yes they are, though mine almost never even get to yellow.
Hey Frodebro,
Can you make either of them show red by turning the gain up?
Thanks for your reply,
Ken
If neither are turning red, the input gain is not too hot, and the output volume is not too hot.
Can you "easily" make it turn red paults? I recall seeing this led indicating "you're getting warm...warmer...HOT! "
It doesn't turn red for me with any of the rigs that I use regularly. But, I don't use any modern metal sounds (when I use metal sounds, they are more "80s/90s" gain than "now").

Yes, especially if I'm using a guitar with active pickups. But I have the input gain set fairly conservatively so that I don't have to worry about it when switching from higher output guitars to single coils.
I can't get them to turn red no matter what I do. I can turn the Gains, MV's , cab volume and distortion volumes to 11 and they don't turn red.
Why do you want them to turn red?
Wondering if it's broke because I'm not a "Rockstar" yet.
take a Telecaster, use the Bridge PU, then you will have red peaks on the input
not a hot guitar,
but it has hot peaks, called twang
Use a clean uncompressed patch/rig, crank the bass and the volume, not the master. If this is not enough, keep adding stomps like eqs after the amp section and crank their own volume. This should do the trick for the output led. For the input one, raise dist/clean sense.
Cranked the bass, treble & volume to the max and there is no sign of the LED working.

The input LED doesn't turn red if you increase Amp Gain. Try increasing clean sense on a clean rig.
I'll post a video. I tried getting a reaction every which way but loose. Updated to 3.3 (latest firmware) and performed various resets...can't get the LED's to respond. My kemp sounds like it has no dynamics, a rather "flat'...linear tone. I'll post a video...maybe that will be more helpful.
sincerely,
Ken
Darn!
CKemper replied to top thread...post will fall into oblivion now!
Anyone want a broken toaster for $1200?
Ken

THIS!
I did try that Ingolf. The Led's show no fluctuation of signal

You hear sound, right?
Perhaps your input LED is broken?
I do hear sound but it's both the Input led AND output led. The Output led turns red when you push it too hard right?
Thanks,
Ken
