They did. I purchased this one used. It had my favorite neck shape so I snagged it. It is my second Bulldog. It showed up with .009 gauge strings. Going to restring with .010 and it should be ready to go.

Beautiful Bulldog, all the best!
Tom should have opposed Gibson in court, he would have won, with costs.

Just picked up an almost pristine, very unused 2009 ESP Horizon NT-II. To me it is just such a good looking guitar. It has a stock coil tap for the JB/59 combo. Not personally thrilled with the Duncan pickups since I already own an LTD EC-1000 with the same combo, so this may not stay in the collection too long. I am considering swapping the JB for a Custom 5. We'll see. It is my first non-LTD ESP, and the craftsmanship is just really nice to look as well as being a pleasure to play.

@AnthonyNYC
Hehe, with a bold-thru! Nice. -
that's a stunning looking guitar.

@PVO_Dave, if Teles had looked like that back in the '80s I'd have taken up guitar instead of bass.
Being a WoodMan™ (no, not the casting guy, you naughty Kemperites!), I'd have been all over that thing like a casting agent on a hot find.

Thanks
It has become my favourite guitar to play right now, the neck is the best feeling one I've played

Looks like a tone monster, and nice book-matching too!

After a long time, I finally bought a new guitar! Super stoked I found this, I was waiting patiently for one to show up.

It's a 1988/89 Fender HM Strat. Original colour used to be pink, it's aged to a nice looking flaming orange. Everything is stock, other than the control knobs, which were replaced.
I haven't got it in my hands as yet, this is the sale picture, hoping it arrives in the next few weeks.
I'll post some pics when it finally arrives, so excited!

The Strat was MIJ, if I remember correctly. There are a number of players who swear the best Strat's ever made were the 80's Japanese models. I can't personally testify to either claim, but I've no doubt they are really well made and vastly underrated.

Some of the Strats were made in the US as well, there's a way to tell from the serial numbers. What I like about the guitars is the neck, it's quite curvy and I find it much more comfortable than the really flat ones you get nowadays. Pickups are good too, a real metal machine. -
Not really new, but I don't think I ever posted a pic of my babies. My main "go-to" guitars are the three Fender YJM Signature Strats. I have owned a lot of guitars in my time, including a few high end Les Pauls and PRS guitars. None of them compare to the YJM Strats in terms of pure tone and incredible play-ability. Workmanship is also top notch. I have a 2005, a 2006 and a 2007, which I rotate playing on a daily basis.
And yes, there is nothing like playing on a beautifully scalloped neck. Like butter.

NICE!!!!
I like the 17" radius on those things! Wish more guitars had that.
Ibanez has 16.9" or something, so close enough I guessMy HM Strat had a terrible dead zone on the fretboard tho, tones didn't ring out properly at all. Not a place a normally play maybe, but still so much I couldn't keep it.
However, I did mod my HM Strat into oblivion

Hahaha, that video! Hahahaha! You totally screwed that guitar though, man! That takes balls!I had one of these HM Strats. mine was made in the US. The neck was definitely wide and thin, mine was maple and it had zero finish so within the first week it started getting brown from playing . I cleaned it and finished it with lacquer. The Dimarzio super distortion gave an incredibly thick sludgy tone that my friends couldn't believe was coming out of an amp without pedals (JCM900 at the time)
I already have a maple neck HM start, which was made (or assembled in the US). It was a crazy guitar when I got it, but badly abused, and the neck has since warped. I still use it though, trying to find a good luthier who can make me a 1:1 replacement neck, it's just so comfortable. Either that, or I'll get it pleked so that it's playable. Mainly have issues on the lower strings in the higher registers. It's still a killer guitar though, that's why I wanted to get another one. -
This arrived yesterday. Totally kicked, it's a beautiful guitar and sounds great. Piano like sustain when unplugged.

Really happy with this. My first guitar purchase in years.
I A/Bed it against my other HM strat and was amazed with the tone of the Super Distortion 3. It really has a different character from the Invader I have in the other guitar.
