That would make a GREAT Feature Request!
Already requested I think.

Hi Jack,
No worries. I am fighting off a bitch of a head cold, and have been a wee bit cranky these past few days.
Cheers,
John
No harm, no foul, John. Get well soon.
Hi there,
this is my first post! I have been watching videos and have been reading articles about the KPA for months. I am going to buy a Power Head next week.
But, this video and the corrosponding Facebook post ("Speaking of transitions ... stay tuned!! ") makes me wonder: Are they going to release a new hardware version of the KPA? Since the video shows the two numbers 1 and 2 you might draw this conclusion.
Should I wait or don't you think there will be a new KPA anytime soon?
Hi
these are the Numbers from the remote switches which you see in the vid
there will be no new KPA in the near future i think

No way that a new KPA is coming anytime soon IMO. You won't regret it - go for it!

I agree.
Go for it, Tilli.
Go for it ! You'll be throwing yourself a "PARTY"
I experienced the same fear before I bought mine, Tilli85; it's natural I think to feel this way before parting with a shedload of cash.
Of course, I'm going to say, "Go for it!" too, but the worst-case scenario is that you buy it and a new one is released. You'd have 4 options:
1) Sell it brand new with a 3-year warranty in order to be able to upgrade, which in theory shouldn't result in much of a loss.
2) Hang onto it in the face of a new model 'cause it's already the most awesome piece of kit you've ever used... or seen.
3) Hang onto it in the face of a new model 'cause you're happy to create and / or develop Rigs (presets) knowing that your work will not be for nought due to the new model's backward compatibility. A second-hand "newer" model could be picked up at some point in the future (with warranty if bought from original purchaser).
4) Sell it and buy an Axe FX 'cause the output converters aren't 96k, the FX are crap, the cabinet impulse responses don't use enough bits and are too short time-wise, profiling only captures a "static" snapshot of a setup in a certain place at a certain time and you don't want to be constrained in that way and the design looks like something from the Lost in Space era and doesn't belong in a modern studio. Be sure to vent these unfounded frustrations here, accusing us of being fanbois, before slamming the door and heading over to TGP, the Line6 or the FAS forum with our collective voices' final utterance of "Don't let the door hit you on the way out" echoing in your head. Note that the echo will not sound like an authentic spring reverb, at least, not if you do all this today.*
Yes, I trust that anything released in future will be backward-compatible; I just can't imagine Christoph and the team doing otherwise given the manner in which they've "looked after" all we grateful Kemperites.
In short, just do it mate.... YMWV (your mileage won't vary).
* Option 4 is to be discouraged.
There aren't enough options already right?
Option to mix the amp profile with the next profile selected maybe?
forget it guys....... I finally found out what it is..................
As soon as you press the button as the light changes you then automatically change into your favourite guitar player, but you can only be them for 1 song per night before you change back, so make sure you choose what guitar solo you want to become them in wisely !!!!!!
wow! to think they can do that . must have been an easier update than an editor!
That's a nice rug!

Nice dig
gotta keep tryin', dean....
Ok, you convinced me. Just got the Powerhead!
Congrats!
Indeed, congrats, Tilli.
Congrats Tilli85! Enjoy it!
Even if a newer version of the toaster came out, I am so happy with what I have in the Kemper now, and know that I will never use anything near that this unit is capable of doing, that it would make no difference to me.
It's so nice to turn on the Kemper in the early morning, practice for an hour before going to work, and not waking up the entire house, AND have the exact same tone today that I had yesterday, and before.

Woohoo! Congrats Tilli85!
Glad you didn't go for "Option #4".
