Nice guitar !!!
Always on Around 3-4. Why? Because it sounds awesome.
What a difference it makes! Always on here @ around 6
Nice guitar !!!
Yes indeed!
That wood-grain finish is superb.
I rehearsed with the pure cab on yesterday evening. It sounds better then my rig sounded before.
I run Kemper --> 2 x Flexsys fm12 like you would use a guitaramp (loud).
I had it on every rig I used for the rehearsal. I play swampy combo sounds and crispy Vibroverbs and my max. gain is like a Jubilee or 2203 marshall kinda gain.
I agree with some of you that the difference between on and off is more noticeable then 0.0 to10.00. Around 5 -7 its cool for my ears.
But there was a little problem and I don't know if its because of the PC or the new SU. Maybe one of you encountered the following?:
When I switch from more gain to clean it seems to be that the cab is not loading properly. It sounds like "cab off" for like 3-5 seconds? Somebody has a lead on that?
Sorry for the slight off topic....
thru headphones, I like to have it at 10 and max headphone space.
kinda tiring if I play too long so I may turn them down a bit
note: headphone space is always on on my KPA, can't turn it off. If turned off the sound is exactly the same than on and space remains adjustable with the soft button, I may need to report that
There is no turning off button for space. Simply set it to zero, then it's off.

Yes there is. At least for "Headphone Space". When you turn "Headphone Space" on, space parameter is only applied to headphone output. When off, space parameter is applied to all outputs. You're right about setting it to zero if you want it completely off for all outputs.
Using pure cab always on 1.2 and space on 3.9 all the time as Andy44 suggested with his last set of profiles. I find it adds a bit more "realism" of a few early reflections is get from the room micing a real cab. When pure cab become per rig I will probably turn it off on clean sounds and tweak per rig for dirty tones.
Yeah, it's definitely mostly the dirty ones that sport ugly phase cancellation, Liam. As you'd know, it seems pretty rare on clean rigs.
Good call mate.
I truly like the effect of pure cab, however, I don't like it on at all times as it knocks the edge/bite off some profiles where I want that sound retained.
If and when it can be saved per profile, and not just global, I will only then be using it heavily on some rigs. Until then it is always off for me which
is a real shame.
Here's hoping for an update that will allow such things.

I feel the same way
Also, most of the time, unless I keep the space parameter low (like at 1.5 or so), I find the result too phasey-sounding.
On at about 60% all the time....seems to work well

This is not entirely true. There's a tick box for space, right. If it's not ticked, it's on for Headphone and Main Out. If it's ticked, it's only on for Headphone Out. Space as part of the Output section can not be applied to all outputs.

It's on for AT LEAST spdif also (if unticked)
Good to know, thanks! So it's on for the stereo outs and off for the mono outs.
I leave PureCab on all the time, on 2 or so. It works very well with my current rig, which is the Kemper direct into the FOH mixer, and I'm using open air in ears (very low volume gig). The other day I was tweaking before a performance and had a very strange thing happen; I hit a chord and it sounded like someone cranked the PA up full volume and my guitar was blasting everyone's ears. It was such a strong sensation that I even asked several people if they could hear my guitar; I was in fact muted in everything but my ears. But the ambience in the Kemper, along with PureCab, really made my mind think that the tone was pressurizing the room when in fact it wasn't. It was that reaction where you are turned up too loud, making too much sound in the room, and you instinctively grab the master volume to quickly turn down. I've never had this happen before with any other modeler, not even close.
When an amp modeler sounds so real it makes your gut think you are too loud in the room and not just your ears, you are really on to something.
