What does the proverb mean?
Oh, yes. It's a song in the movie musical My Fair Lady, 1964
An upper class British Gentleman has a theory that he can take a low class woman, teach her the "Kings English" and thereby pass her off as Upper Class. In the end he falls in love with her. It's a modern take on the classic Greek myth Pygmalion who was a sculptor who fell in love with one of his own statues.
The song has the woman singing rhymes to get her vowels correct. When she sings "The Rain in Spain falls mainly on the Plane" correctly, her "sculptor" teacher refrains "I think she's got it!!"
Paults' comment jogged my musical memory, haha. Great melodies in that musical!
