I am using the link from you excel file and the link on #27 brings me to a page where only the BE100 profiles stand. so I guess I am missing the link to the DS page. any help is welcome
thanks so much. I tried the DA BE100 profiles from #27 yesterday, first real time on DI profiles. sounded great ! in the end this is the community which makes the greatest value of the KPA and your contribution is priceless.

Yup.
As if owning the ultimate tone powerhouse isn't enough, we also have... each other!
Incredible.

Hi Guys, I'm still around. Life has been crazy the last few months so I haven't had as much time to make profiles and play music. But I sure appreciate all the kind words. I had a blast doing this project and I sure learned a lot in the process. I ordered a new 212 cab and I've been working on my mic preamp so I'm looking forward to trying some more profiles soon.
In the mean time, check out this thread, JerEvil is getting ready to do a killer profiling session, I'm really looking forward to the results. BIG Splawn Quick Rod Profiling Session Coming Up!

LOL! Talk about timing! I was LITERALLY typing you an email as since I bumped this thread I got to wondering what's been going on in the world of Owens! Glad you're still checking in! So by working on your mic preamp do you mean building one? -
Thanks, I modified a preamp that I bought a while back, nothing special, simply adjusted the gain a little and added a phase switch.
-
thanks Jer, looking forward to it, roger

Hey guys,
What am I doing wrong? I just downloaded all 30+ folders and imported all the profiles. There are over 300 Friedman BE profiles. I'm assuming I don't need all of them. Which ones are the "final" profiles? Should I just download and import only those in the final Phase for each amp? I just can't imagine I'm doing this right because nobody would need over 300 versions of a single amp on their Kemper, correct?
-
See the notes for each session. The goal was to try to narrow in on the best settings, cab, mic, etc. But it turned into more of everyone just asking for x, y, z and series of experiments with various cabs, direct profiles, etc. Check out session 8. A wide variety of settings, showing off the range of the amp.

See also my response in the other thread where you asked this same question, OhG; I provided a detailed outline as to how you might go about auditioning the phases efficiently:

I personnally like the DA profiles, BE100 and DS. I think they are session #27.
I have a good 4x12 greenback preset from Studio 25 and it goes well with the BE100.I like Tim's 4x12 V30 with the DS but I'd love to get a good creamback preset and I'm looking after @JerEvil quickrod killer session with a good loooking creamback stack (and today is the day!)

Actually, I am loading up the car now, and heading down to the studio. Hopefully will have one or two to share out tonight. Want to make sure I get them all named and ready to go before putting them out there.I did just upload a free profile in the free rig section. It has a studio, merged, and direct profile in there that I did it on this morning. Was just making sure I actually knew how to hook everything up with the Kemper DI box
-
Jer I'd be interested in knowing how you think the di boxes compare if you get the chance as I own the same behringer one.

Hey, thanks Jeremy.

great thread!
sticky'edWhat took ya so long?
As I've said before, I really think that a number of select profiles from this thread should be made available as an official Rig Pack; great profiles, and a great community effort (well, the effort was all Tim's but it has brought the community together in a GREAT way!)
@ckemper, how about it?

Boy, these profiles sound HUGE.
Seriously, big thanks for this. May I donate to support your work? I'd like to offer you a beer -
