Subject line pretty much covers it, and I see a similar request was already made for Android. Seems like it would be relatively straightforward. Wouldn't need all the bells and whistles with local libraries, etc. Just an iPad/iPhone app that would expose the rigs in the Rig Library, and allow you to preview/download rigs to the KPA as needed (via Camera Connection Kit and USB cable). I rarely have a PC in the rehearsal space, but usually have an iPad on a stand, or my iPhone in my pocket. It would be great to be able to pull up a new amp profile on the spot when a bandmate says one of your tones isn't convincing.

Absolutely seconded.

Has been asked for a few times - don't believe it will happen.

Really, this must have escaped me... ?? -
or do I mess it up with editing functions - not certain about it?
I thought I remembered discussions with some of the guys from the mothership, when RM Win came out first and Mac-Users were disappointed, when we were told, that OSX was in the works but that there were no plans/intentions for other OSses. -
Yes, I remember that ...
OTOH, when more people are asking for convenience it may come in the end, only with 2nd or 3rd priority but nonetheless...
And I belong to the ones that still hope for an editor in the future. -
Editor: yes.
I used to think I would not need one, but KAOS has become so much more powerful and complex, that I can clearly see the benefit of one now. At least a pimped up version of RM would come in very handy. (Managing Performances, cabs, stomp presets...) -
At least I found this one. But it is not the one I remember.

+1 !!!!
That would be amazing!

Could be handy +1

As Long as every OS Version is programmed separately I doubt that this will happen.
Month ago I suggested to build a web based solution (small embedded WebServer in the KPA - you have this in small telco modem devices e.g.) to be used via browsers and not to having this problem now. Accessible via bluetooth/wifi dongle through the USB Port
Nobody liked the idea.
Now you see what probs you get choosing the wrong platform
-
I guess you mean "browser" based not "web" based.
Anyway can you provide me with a link to any decently known program that would access hardware locally and run from one code base on all platforms including different browser types and mobile OSs and yet remain usable and safe.
Don't you think, if it was that easy - quasi only a matter of the "right" choice - all companies would travel that route?

On Saturday I'm going to do some 'session work' at a friends studio and I just realised that I have all the great sounds in the RM and not in my KPA...
And since I don't really know what sounds I will need, it would have been killer to just have the RM on my iPhone (or iPad) with my sounds. -

Especially since there apparently will not ba a compatible version for the many KPA users running 10.6.8 on their Mac because it was the last completely stable and bug-free OS X version. I (we) don't care if Apple doesn't support it anymore. What Apple does do is continually update their Mac operating systems with bug-ridden, useless crap. The iPad has been OK, though, so Rig Manager for iOS would be most welcome.

Could be a paid app to recoup investment, too, if that would grease the wheels at Kemper at all. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd be happy to pay $10 or $20 for this app. Farm the development out to a little iOS consulting shop, provide them with the interface specs for the existing PC/Mac Rig Manager... I could be wrong but I wouldn't expect it to be too hard to tackle.

Excellent idea!! Had an similar app for the AxeFx, very handy!! ( I think it was about 12€ ... )

I 100% agree would be very cool
