Odd behavior of the FCB1010 after UnO4Kemper 1.3 install

Got my 1.3 UnO4Kemper chip last week and installed it. Did a system self test and calibration after installing it. I tend to keep my 1010 on and when switching my Furman on/off. I only switch on and off the KPA separately. Now, after the KPA starts up, the 1010's 1-5 pedals start blinking and I have to switch them all off. If I switch the 1010 on after the KPA has booted up, it's fine. I never had this type of behavior on 1.1. Anyone else noticed this? Or is it just mine? Perhaps I got a faulty chip?

I have done a factory reset and a recalibration...still does it tho. What did you do to fix it?

I see....I did a complete factory reset and also calibration again...now it seems to work but perhaps causing a different issue when switching to Performance mode....see my thread in the Profiler trouble shooting section....odd....I am hitting the road again this week and hope I can sort it out.

an additional issue seem to have come up as I described in the other section....the 1.3 chip causes KPA performance mode to crash....I swapped the chip for 1.1 and all is working fine....hope Xavier sees this and resolves the issue as of now, 1.3 is not working for me.

I got an answer from Xavier but unfortunate it didn't help much or address the issue. My set up and setting shave not changed going from 1.1 to 1.3 UnO4Kemper chip, so I am really not sure why it has developed these 2 issues....

- blinking of the pedals 1-5 when 1010 is on while KPA is booting up
- Crashing Performance Mode when switching from bank to bank

As I had mentioned I re-installed version 1.1 again as 1,3 is completely unusable for me.

Here's Xavier's response:

"the blinking of pedals 1-5 is an indication of "performance preselect". I guess your KPA is not on the first performance when you switch on the FCB1010. After connecting, the KPA sends its current performance index to the FCB1010, and the LEDs start blinking until you actually select a slot of that performance. This probably won't happen if KPA is on the first performance. You can disable this "performance preselect" behavior in one of the KPA menus. The KPA crashing sounds like a KPA problem. I suggest to reload the KPA setup you were using before it started to crash. "

Anyone here has made similar experiences with UnO4Kemper 1.3 chip?

it's actually bank switch in performance mode....

and try this for me please...

switch on the 1010 before booting up the KPA to Browser mode and let me know what happens!

ok, thanks guys! according to Xavier the flashing lights indicate performance preselect ....i don't understand why this would happen since 1.1 doesn't do that...

do you guys have any of these things checked for performance mode:

- Performance Auto load

- Rig Autoload

I just don't understand why the KPA crashes in Performance Mode when I switch to a different bank since none of my settings were changed on the KPA. But as i said, no issues on 1.1....just a bummer since I can't use 1.3 at all....got a clinic tour for Guitar Center coming up and I am glad I caught it before I hit the road.

According to Xavier a new beta OS KPA version will get rid of the blinking 1-5 pedals when 1010 is on while KPA is booting up....my crash issue still persists up to today and I have downgraded to version 1.1 Chip and boxed the 1.3 chip. Bummer about the features in the 1.3 chip but it's unworkable for me if this is crashing my KPA in performance mode.
