What is the effective price including shipping in Euro to get one of these?
IIRC about 940-950.- -
I received mine a week ago - still interested in any details and especially any further knowledge that goes along with this "product".
Hendrik
edit:
I payed 894,14 €.
$ <-> € works in our favor right now.
Avoid paying with paypal if you can. You will get a worse conversion rate (at least 5 cent/ EUR).

Well, here follow a couple of small collections of NBTM:

There's much more in my archives, but it's a lot of stuff and it would require some work, like the wiKPA.
Should anyone be interested in the raw material tho, feel free to PM me -
i was on the top of the atomic list one week ago. i asked Tom from Atomic more time to buy the cab, because i had problem with paypal. he said he could hold my invitation open for a little longer. so after 2 days i solved my paypal problem and i payed the clr.
but i haven't received notice from him after payment. i payed yesterday morning.
anyone (who already bought a clr )knows when Tom will contact the buyer for the confirm of the order or if the availability of the Clr for Europe is meanwhile ended? -

Tom is a very credible man and always a pleasure to deal with.
I don't have the slightest doubt you will receive your CLR very soon.
Maybe you mail him again directly.
He will usually answer very quickly. -
yes i know it.
i only would know if there will be other atomic cabs available or they are finished for european market.
because i made payment after i haven't talk to Tom for the previous 2 days -
Contact Tom directly at tking@atomicamps.com He will respond to you very quickly.

Wow
http://forum.fractalaudio.com/amps-cabs/7791…eo-version.html
They cost 400 $ more. A real bargain, considering the cost of neodymium. Glad JM changed his mind... or TK did the trick
-
Nobody changed their mind on this. That would involve making a production change to neodymium. The standard CLR will continue to employ ferrite-magnet transducers. The neodymium version is being offered as a special order, extra cost option. IMO it is well worth the additional cost. The weight difference - approximately 13 pounds - is quite dramatic when you compare directly. It makes placement on a stands a one-man job, and transport of multiple speakers becomes much easier.
-
I was referring (of course in good spirit) to what you wrote elsewhere:
QuoteThere have been further increases in the cost of neo-magnet transducers. My earlier estimate was out of date when I posted it. The required price increase would be far greater than the range I mentioned, which takes neo out of consideration for the foreseeable future.
And talking about manageability, Scott Peterson wrote that now the weight is more balanced in relationship with the handle position, which makes it even easier to manage.
As for the weight... yes, it's 5 kg... now the CLR weights like my 2x12 Dragoon, which I can easily carry and lift with one handCongratulations for your design! If it's not an absolute innovation per se, its price placement makes it innovative and ground-breaking
-
So, what exactly would be the difference between neodymium and ferrite-magnet? For the new weight, Is there also a new/different case involved? Any changes to be expected for sound (capacity)?
-
The physical metallic mass you need is lower, hence the weight-saving.
No difference in look or performance, as clearly stated in the link I supplied.
In fact, you can ask mothership for your "old" CLR to be retrofitted. -
Hehe, so glad that I work out and still find my CLR’s easy enough to handle.

thanks viabcroce! -

Yes, finally released. I've been Beta testing these for about 2 months and I am thrilled. Same great performance and now "Featherlight". I've played about 12 gigs in various small to medium venues and 2 different bands ( 1 more pop and 1 classic to current rock) and have been completely satisfied.. And way easy to carry and I think the balance is better
Believe me, my 63 yr old not so healthy back appreciates this. I never thought I could Have a Marshall or Rectofier Stack or A Fender twin w/ JBLs at only around 30 lbs.
And I think you can get your CLR retrofitted.
According to Tom King the CLR was originally going to be Neo , but when they got done with everything the price of neodymium shot way up.
-
I foresee at least one of them in my future. Then I am set!
PS: But two would substitute my home stereo, my studio monitors and my guitar cab(s) at the same time... almost 3,500 € worth stuff. A real bargain, if you think of it!
