Surely they will have companies they can work with outside of Germany for all us non-germans. Shipping from England might not be too bad but for the US its going to be a very expensive solution
Looks like the power amp is coming too.....

Wtf, send it in? That kinda sucks! How hard can it be to unscrew some screws and put it in - soldering required or why the need to send it in?
-
Apparently you can monitor the temp of the amp on screen so it must intergrate with the electrics some where
-
Yeah, but there is a connection/plug in the mounting hole?
At least there should be an option to retrofit it by yourself. -

Im sure that the Kemper guys wont want to alienate their initial adopters
-
I think that Camplifier would be cheaper.
Well experience tells me that non integrated solutions are even more expensive, so it might be more than 730$. If you buy burger chips and cola you pay 5 dollars. If you buy just cola you pay 2 dollars - something similar to this

I've been without my KPA for more than three weeks because there was a problem with the audio board. I want a poweramp and have been waiting for the Kemper one but I can't send them my KPA again and wait for another month. I'll have to choose another one.

Here is the new Kemper line up form Andertons....

nothing there about a power unit upgrade option for existing Kempers, which is a surprising omission. -

Maybe they want owners to send their KPAs in because they plan to cut/drill/punch the KPA chassis to allow an embedded connection rather than having cables looped out the back.

The Camplifier would work but the price range is still too high. You can get a powered FRFR not to mention a used one including EV and other high end for $200-$400. The camplifier would require you to have a monitor or speaker cabinet as well so you would be in a similar boat as just getting an FRFR. I'd love to get one if they were ~$200-$300 as it would make the head a complete package but there are too many other options that are priced better that will achieve the results. Rack people will also have too many other options to warrant $700++. If anyone knows of other sources even if it is a build your own please let me know. I would order the camplifier in a heart beat if the price were more in line with alternative solutions. There will be other options once the units have time on the market.

The new KPA with 600 watt Power Amp @ $2730 - thats a bit too rich, even for my blood - more than I paid for my 1st new Chevy in 1974. Of course my brand new '73 Les Paul was around $499 back then too - but I have my limits!
FWIW - my KPA + Two EV ELX112P's (for stereo) was around $250 less than the new KPA with 600 watt Power Amp and does far more IMHO.

At least there should be an option to retrofit it by yourself.this. please!
it should really be an option to install the poweramp by yourself if you're confident enough with electronics.
the idea isn't be to save money, but to avoid the turnaround time of shipping in the unit. -
