Something like the Mooer Capture Tune GTR pedal... Sample one guitar, and use a second one to simulate the sound with the Match EQ (saved as a EQ preset). Without using a DAW.

Match EQ like the Mooer Tone Capture GTR pedal

This would be an incredible feature. I think there’s a workaround as well . See the video link below where he takes just a distortion box straight into a DAW then uses an EQ match to reproduce the sounds of the guitar and amp combination on a Foo Fighters recording. It’s pretty straightforward to do in an Daw and there are several plug-ins to do that. You can also do it on an iPad with a fab filter Eq plug. I think you can export those EQ curves as IR files and then load them into the cab section of the kemper??
Agreed it would be a killer feature to do on the Kemper

I went down the Tone Match EQ rabbit hole during my Atomic Amplifire days. It's very simple once you set up a DAW project with the source, target, and place the EQ on a bus.
I made a bunch or tone matched IRs, and I had my Amplifire full of matched songs/albums. It sounded great when playing with a band or even a backing track. It sounded horrible when playing alone, very thin. The reason is that you are tone matching to a sound that has been manipulated to fit within the track.
Are you going to get that full sound that you think you're hearing? No, that's most likely some of the bass sounds complimenting the guitar.

Hey guys, thanks for your answer. I did all those things that you suggest in my DAW. What I'm trying to achieve here, is to make a guitar pickup sound less or more like another one. It's so much easier to do that with my mooer pedal than with my DAW. And my goal is to bring only one guitar (maybe 2 in case a string break - not spring break 😂)

I heard something about a tool for this kind of needs
HOME - SIM1 GuitarA NEW ERA FOR GUITAR LOVERS ! Is it possible to equip a really cool electric guitar with the Smart Tone Shaping Technology by SIM1? Yes, we did it!…sim1guitar.comNever had it or even tested

Yes I read about it. it does that and much more. a bit expensive though - the mooer tone capture gtr is all I need. But it would be nicer if it was implemented in the kemper's eq presets (no extra pedal / fx slot needed in that case)

I have a keytone pickup exchanger pedal that works nicely for that. If you’re looking to go from humbucker to single coil sounds and vice versa, take a look at some YouTube videos of people using the GEQ-7 EQ pedal for this and mimic that with Kempers equalizer.

Create 2 DI tracks. One with one guitar, and one with another guitar. Follow the steps for EQ tone match, and get the EQ from one guitar to the other, and do the same thing the other way around, from guitar 2 to guitar 1.
You will get an EQ that is applied for the tone match. Create a studio EQ on the Kemper, using the EQ from guitar 1 to guitar 2, and name it whatever you want as a preset. For example, Hum2SingleEQ. Place that EQ in the stomps side (pre-side), and see how that works for you.
That's basically what the mooer pedal is doing. Creating an EQ tone match.

yes we know that. but the mooer makes the process easy. and it would even be easier if that feature was implemented in the kemper. As a next step to profiling (and liquid profiling), "guitar" profiling.

Then use the mooer. In either case, I'm done with this thread. I told you how to do it, and you don't want to do it. You want someone else to do it. I'm done.

If you read the previous posts, you can see that I know how to do it with a DAW and I did that before. But you can never be accurate enough with the Studio EQ in the Kemper.
Since I have the Mooer, it's really much easier. All I'm asking as a new feature in this thread, is to have that EQ in the Kemper itself, instead of having it in an external pedal. Not very complicated by request, is it? Many thanks for your advice.

This is a thread in the Feature Requests part of the forum - not the Q&A. It's fine to offer advice on alternative means, but there's no reason to get miffed when the OP stands by his or her request.

So, if anyond has created a studio eq to convert SC to HB and visa versa, can you please share it? I'd love to hear how well it works.
