I own several tube amps, and I really like cranking their master volumes to "11", and then controlling the distortion/gain through input volume. Is there a way to do this on the Profiler Powerhead?
Can the Kemper Profiler (Powerhead in may case) simulate power tube distortion?

Yes, if the profile was done this way (with a cranked poweramp).
The poweramp in the Powerhead/Powerrack itself is neutral.

Yes. I use my guitar volume knob all the time for that kind of purpose. Try searching the Rig Exchange for "cranked", and "on ten". Be sure and play loud enough to be able to exploit the same dynamic range you enjoy with your other amps.

That totally makes sense! Thanks.

Thanks you. I'll look for those.

The guitar volume knob works really well with lower gain levels for me, too. Like I previously said, turning up as loud as a regular amp is the key to getting that guitar to amp interaction.
