Hi all,

Not me. Seems unproductive.
Yes, I do session work at Nomad Recording and the Producer has tracked me this way with great success and more options.

Why?
Why?
So using a DI profile means you have to set up a cab and mic it? Just easier to use a studio profile with the mic'd cab included. No fuss and no carrying a cab.
Well, I guess if you enjoy miking cabs and playing around with all the tonal options you can get that way, it's a good way to go. If you don't, use a cab sim. But I wouldn't say miking a cab is "unproductive"...I mean, it's the way things were done for decades...
I just think it defeats half the purpose of what the Kemper does. Plus, spending time getting that perfect mic placement takes time away from the actual production. But I get how some people still like the ol' school way of doing things.

I've got an iso cab and soon a dynamount ...I do think something gets a little lost sometimes with the digital gear vs a cranked amp (some of it would be taken out in the mix anyway low end/compressed etc)
With the dynamount I can save presets and the fredman technique gets really good tones.
I remember one of the cameron DI's being insane
