Now that you can drag and drop IR’s into rig manager is Cab Maker redundant or is there another use for it? Does it sound different than just adding IR unconverted?
Is cab maker redundant now? Yes!

Cab maker is not needed anymore.
All IR you drop into rig manager are converted automatically into Kemper cab format (44,1 kHz and 24 bit).

Thanx for this info.... Ive recently come back to the world of Kemper and have been curious about this. Any third party IR's that are worth checking out? I saw some redwirez but some of their packs are really expensive.

can't go wrong with Ownhammer IR's, best I've heard. Celestion's are ok but not as good as the same speakers from Ownhammer imo

Ownhammer's are way too hot. When you A/B them with other IRs, everyone always thinks the louder one is better which isn't always the case. I do like them, but I level them out before I import them into my Kemper

Ownhammer sound more realistic, celestions ones sound more like a Palmer speaker sim version of what the real speaker sounds like. Alternatively the official Emminence IR’s sound pretty great

discussing IRs needs a new thread. this one is closed now.
