I wonder how a Custom Custom compares to a JB AlNiCo2

This is a bit late to the conversation, but I just installed humbucker-sized Seymour Duncan Psyclone Filtertrons in my Nash T2HB tele (replaced Lollar Imperials), and I couldn't be happier. The tone is snappier but still full - hard to describe, but they've got more of the single coil feel to them.
plus reviews say it goes well with 250k pots which is what I'm using
You might find that a humbucker with 250K pots is dull sounding. I had this issue, and when I switched to 500K the guitar lit up. The Nash guitars use 500K with humbuckers ...
I installed a Duncan Custom in my Jackson strat a couple of weeks ago and totally fell in love with it. It seems to fit in between the JB and the Duncan Distortion really great. The Jackson strat does have 500k pots in it. I would think the 250k pots would dull it up. But if I install a JB with the 250k pots then it might cut back on some of the JB's high end shrill.
The thing is, I hate to have another guitar with the same pickups as the other. I have a Charvel with the 59/JB combo. I like each of my guitars to have their own sound. I guess I'll keep looking.
PAF, Custombucker or Classic 57 with 500k Pot, thats
I recently swapped the magnet of a JB for an AlNiCo8
It's glorious!

what are the changes? Really curious

to my ears it made it move more toward the SH-6 Distortion.
Higher output, fatter tone, yet also more bite.
~8€ and it is basically a new pickup

Agree. Another reason I have different guitar brands too.
