Kemper Main Outs to Preamp XLR or Preamp Line In or DI Box?

    Hello!

    Trying to figure out the best way to route my Kemper outs. I'm using SSL X-Desk as mixer, so no preamps or lines in on the desk, and have to use external preamps. I can't tell from the Kemper manual exactly what type of signal is going out of the Main Outputs of the Profiler, so please advise where to hook up!

    My AMS Neve preamps have an XLR line in and of course the microphone XLR in.

    Q#1: Is the XLR line in the best option for the Kemper?

    Q#2: Do I need to use a DI Box to connect to the mic inputs without causing damage?

    Q#3: I have been using the TRS DI input on my Shadow Hills Gamas, and that seems to work, but is it a good idea?

    The Main Manual includes connection pictures and a spec sheet!?

    The MAIN OUTPUT delivers line level. The balanced XLR outputs are the best choice to connect to a mixing desk. You might want to activate the -12 dB PAD in the Output Section as it is quite hot. No DI box needed.
