Wow, I just bought 9.5 four months ago and now Version 10?
Anyone who has done the upgrade?

Cool feature: a track align tool that can also time stretch your tracks. Might be really handy if you're quad tracking!
Then again, it might really suck

4 mounth ago...you cant use the grace period then ah?
I'm in the same boat, bought 9.5 about 2 months ago and no grace period. Friend has Educational Version 8 but hasn't registered it = grace period granted and is now using EDU version 10 wtf?
Now I'll admit I didn't even look into the whole grace period thing until he mentioned it to me...but am confused as I don't see Steinberg's logic in him getting it. Is it because he didn't register his software or because he's using EDU version...?
I upgraded to 10 on the first day. I really like the new alignment feature. No more PITA with revoice.

Nope. Grace period only from Oct 18.

It’s because it wasn’t registered. Also, I think they do some stuff differently for educational licenses versus regular licenses.

That sounds promising. I want to get it, but there’s really no reason to rush now, I suppose. Will wait for Mojave’s support. That’ll give me some time to finish tracking my project. I’ll pick it up before reamping.
Do you use the time stretch feature while aligning stuff? Sounds really, really cool, if it works the right way.

I only tested it with the default settings on a few vocal tracks and it did a flawless job. Would have saved me hours and hours of work for my last album with all that capturing audio into revoice and then reimporting into Cubase.

PITA? What's that?

Does it work with guitar tracks too?
PITA? What's that?
Pain In The Ass.
Does it work with guitar tracks too?
I think it does, it's billed to be of use when layering tracks, at least according to the Steinberg website.
On second thoughts, you wouldn't want to audio warp the result. Actually, I have no idea. Part of the charm of double tracking is the fact that it's not a 1:1 copy. Or does it sound better if everything is super tight?
I'd love to try it

Yes, it does. I just tested that on the DI track prior to reamping.
Im a protools user since 2009...and a revoice pro through all its iterations user for a long time...are you saying cubase 10...does ADR (and GTR applications) internally?

yes, have a look starting at 3:24... extremely simple to use and a huge timesaver...
I was running 9.0 and noticed a couple of minor features in 9.5 that might be handy, so I upgraded. The very next day 10 came out. The eLicenser automatically bumped me from 9.5 to 10. It was $60 to go from 9.0 to 9.5. Would have been $200 to go from 9.0 to 10. Must be all that good, clean living. I'll take the win.
For some reason, there hasn't been time to install 10 yet. This little green guitar thing landed on my doorstep about the same time and upgrading my DAW seemed less exciting somehow.
