Can we all agree on a list of 5 classic OD we would wish
-

Would be great !
Also, the simple solution to this is that Kemper allows us to profile pedals into Stomps......( not the first time I've requested it )
I know its about processing power etc....but surely if an upgraded processor was needed then same could be offered as n upgrade like the powered section originally was
-
Not so simple if you don't have a Klon (and they are unbelievably expensive now). MBritt has a few profiles with the Klon baked in, but it's baked in at a particular setting (and with a particular amp at a particular setting).

Ok, here we go....
I've pulled my Klon Clone out of my old analog guitar rack, hooked it up in the distortion Loop and twiddled the knobs until I found it got close.
To my surprise, depending on how much gain and what kind of tone settings I used on the "Klone", my preferred overdrive/distortion model on the KPA changed. The "Mellow Klone":
Mouse, Drive 2.2. Tone 3.0, Mix 84%, Vol +0.9The "Gritty Klone":
One DS, Drive 0.0, Tone 2.9, Mix 81%, Vol -1.6The "Spanky Klone"
Plus DS, Drive 4.1, Mix 90%, Vol -2.0Since the Klon adds a little compression aswell due to the way the circuit works I've added a compressor stomp right after the OD/Dist block
with Intensity 4.2, Attack 2.8, Squash -1.5, Mix 30%, Vol +0.5IMHO the use of the additional Comp only makes sense on Amps/Rigs with lower gain settings.
All in all I would say that these presets resemble a decent 85-95% copy of my DIY Klone pedal
Let me know what you think.Cheers, René
BTW, My clean sense was set to -8.0. I've used my heavily modded PRS Tremonti SE with an 8.5k Alnico V bridge humbucker.
My reference Rig was a Mars 2203 Profile I made myself last year with medium gain and through its low input. -

Another bump for a Klon stomp!
-
this is a great idea. I like the idea of a klon with a dedicated mix knob too.
-
Agreed. Kemper as a company has the cash to purchase one.

Or the reissue (KTR)...

if the culprit is a missing sample pedal, I'd be happy to provide mine for the analysis...

Klon!

Hi, as you know the Kemper is currently lacking on the OD front. There is the tube screamer which gives good results, so it could be useful to have other pedals recreations to play with.
However, I understand that Kemper Gmbh ressources are not infinite so we could perhaps agree on a list of five (arbitrary number) "classic" OD (nothing too exotic), we would like to have on the Kemper.
I propose too limit this list to "unique" designs (no clone), and to stay away from pedals that are recreating amps (since we can do amps already with the Kemper). What do you think?
If you agree, please reply with the ODs you miss in the Kemper, I will compile them to create the top five of community wanted ODs in the Kemper.
Thank you.

My votes would go to :
- Klon centaur
- Marshall bluesbreaker Mk 1
- Boss Blues Driver -
AC booster maybe?

One thing that might also help would be more eq options within the current OD/Dist so we can dial in some of these sounds without needing to use another slot for eq or a second OD to stack. Maybe ideas like how we can modify profiles but for pedals (sag, compression, bite/presence, , etc) maybe even if the pedal had a pre-amp tube ( such as some of the Ibanez or tone king pedals).
Some of my favourite pedals are:
Strymon Sunset
MXR Bonamassa FET driver
MXR ‘78 Custom Badass Dist
Keely modded Boss BD-2
‘74 MXR Distortion plus -
‘74 MXR Distortion plusI think there is alreay an MXR Distortion plus, which is called the "Plus DS".
-
Cornish SS3 would be nice !

For me, besides the already modelled overdrives I'd love to see the following, just based on drives I've owned and enjoyed playing (haven't owned a Klon but it would be great to see modeled!):
Klon Centaur
Subdecay Liquid Sunshine
Fulltone OCD
Death By Audio Interstellar Overdriver
Amptweaker Tight Drive -
1. Klon
2. Some kind of more "transparent" OD, meaning a flatter frequency response, like Boss Bluesdriver.I would also like the drives to have a bass control, even though the originals don't have. One could keep the bass at zero for authenticity, or add or reduce bass for some new flavours. E.g. I like sometimes to have a little more bass in Tubescreamer.

I'd like the XOTIC BB PREAMP
