I guess all of you are always downloading music through legal sites? Always? Never used i.e. Pirate Bay?
With Spotify etc. pirating music seems unnecessary to me.

You’re damn right I am.
Musicians should be the LAST to support music piracy.

Sure, nowadays we all use Spotify. But there was a time we did not use Spotify......
I agree that musicians should make a point of not pirating music, especially with all the options available now. Looking forward to Spotify's uncompressed format coming out.
Is cloning a sheep or human technically pirating?
all (burp) jokes aside...looks like some one has already tried to Sue Tone Junkie
You know now days you cannot even sing happy birthday in public with out royalty, its patented or some BS

Please, let us know when you've found something or someone
Don't be a pirate, guys! What goes around, comes around!
Ash, you might consider not wearing the vigilante hat too loudly, given the high probability that any perpetrators frequent this very forum.
"Don't mess with a pirate, guys! What goes around, comes around"
FTFY
Disclaimer: not affiliated, yadayada, I am utterly disgusted about those leeches.
There are more listings this morning when I looked. Apparently selling Michael Britt and Reamzone profiles.

Nah, don't be afraid, Ash. A real world parallel is this disgusting shit that's happening in Hollywood. People have started to be named and shamed.
The same thing goes with these pirates. It is quite feasible to cut a deal with them, find out their paypal email address, back out after complaining to ebay that you found out it is stolen, and then publish those details on the webz so that people can identify them.
Seriously, no fear, man! What's the worst that could happen? You die? But you died with your boots on, standing up for your principles.
That's kind of made out like a weakness in today's world, and it shouldn't be.

We can't hang em, maybe we could smoke him out. I love a good trap or an ambush even better.
Anything I download for free, is available for free. If you check out archive.org there are a lot of bands that allow their concerts to be recorded and shared for free. Consequently, those bands typically enjoy a rabidly loyal fanbase who go see them in concert and purchase their studio work. good stuff.

Yes, but there's an interesting thing about how the "hive mind" works nowadays.
For example, Nine Inch Nails put out an entire album for free on their website.
And after they did that, people were taking their work and uploading it as torrents and God knows what else.
Basically, abandon all hope that these guys are all for net neutrality and taking the fight to the greedy corporations.
They're just thieves hoping to get some kind of internet cred. And let's not forget that there's actually money in piracy. Look at thepiratebay or some of those other sites. Don't be fooled into believing this is some socialist paradise in the making.
please stop posting links to potentially pirated ebay offerings. report those items instead:

Who is this 'they' you are referring to? It certainly can't have anything to do with archive.org or the bands or the fans that I am referring to. Please keep your issues separate as they have nothing to do with what I am discussing.
The profiles that are sold on ebay the most seem to be the MBRITT packs and Reampzone packs. Are these super popular or are they more expensive than most? I reported two more this morning. Every one that gets removed has three replace it. My purpose for creating this thread is to prevent honest people from buying these packs not realizing they are pirated. This happened to me so I figured I should warn the community. We all work too hard to have aome crook cheat us out of a few bucks.
You did a good Job Brother, I am in Australia so my ebay searches differ.
Yup Michael Britt's and Dan's [reampzone] are popular but no overly expensive .
Ash
I checked the pages and they dont look pricey. I guess they seem to be highly regarded.
