I have been thinking of trying a new setup and in order to have enough outputs was thinking about using the direct out set at -15 with a XLR adaptor to go to the FOTH. Is this OK to do?
Does anyone use the direct out to the FOTH?

Yes absolutely.

Ok so I purchased a Mogami TS to XLR patch cable. I know a balanced output is recommeded going FOTH. Is using an XLR cable what makes it a balanced output or is there something within the Kemper that makes the XLR outputs balanced? So if I use a TS to XLR patch cable in the direct out to FOTH is that a balanced output?

only the xlr outs in the Profiler provide a balanced signal. All of the TS outputs are unbalanced.
ANALOG OUTPUTS
Master L and R Outputs:
XLR balanced, ¼ inch TS unbalanced with ground lift max. output level: XLR +22dBu, TS +16dBu
Monitor Output:
¼ inch TS unbalanced with ground lift max. output level: +16dBu
Direct Output/Send:
¼ inch TS unbalanced with ground lift max. output level: +16dBu -
I have never used my Kemper any other way. It's always been great.
