Wow! I have never played a profile with the gain cranked like that and then you add a green scream! What happens when you lower the gain setting?
is my unit broke, 2and kemper in 1 week-UPDATE issue fixed
-
-
It fades but I never had this issue on any other brand or product I like gain
-
the green scream has 0 gain dialed in
-
Also gain down to where it works is not my tone, if you offer these features and the unit should handle it, I mean the axefx and kemper almost contain the exact same chips and the axefx overloads it compared to kemper and they perform fine in these conditions

If you want your guitar to distort sooner, raise your distortion sense. You will get the result you want without having your gain maxed and avoid the noise that its amplifying as well.
Give it a shot, see how it goes. -
Also I'm not clipping input or output
-
Also the gain is set from the profile I didn't add to
-
the fortin jvm same thing
-
Try this...lower the gain on the profile to about 1 -3 o'clock. Then go into input settings and raise your distortion sense until it breaks up the way you think it should. This way your guitar will breakup sooner in the profiles you use and there will be no need to have the gain cranked. You still get the sound of the profile but not that noise.
I use it like this to get my Strats to break up sooner so I don't have to mess with the profiles that I also use for my les Pauls .
Try it and see if it works for you.
Personally I would never use a profile that has the gain set like that, but that's me. Yes, I do like high gain. If you are wide open on the gain, then you have nowhere to go.

Do you have the USB connected to the Kemper, USB can have noise loops.
-
No USB just kemper and amp and the noise is the kemper, I shouldn't have to change the sense the green screamer is for tightening not gain, it seems the kemper quality may be weak to competitors if I can't get this done without lowering gain I'll just got back to fractal though I love the kemper tones
-
someone do me a favor download the same profile use the same settings see if you get the same results
-
If you search cobra the profile is just named cobra, if you search fortin you'll find the fortin mod jvm red channel, load them as normal don't tweak add first in chain a 4:1 noise gate thresh at 5.5 then add a green screamer gain 0 tone 7 volume 5 after playing try just headphones see if you hear that noise if you don't maybe kemper had a quality control issue on this batch
-
Same issue on factory the ola edvaha add boost
-
So it comes down to the difference in sound in poweramp cab vs headphones studio monitors, through a frfr system my gain sounds extreme but through my poweramp cab not the same. I have found a balance now

I am so glad you got this resolved, @mnewse614However, truth be told, I am a still a bit flummoxed as to why your KPA is experiencing this issue, and why you have to resort to using a noise gate in slot X, in the first place.
In any event, "all's well that ends well", as Bill would say.
Cheers,

It wasn't just his unit, John.
The issue was reproducible, even by the support team.
