Keys from 0:17 sound really awesome! Overall sound in my opinion could be better with more focused and open guitar sound. Parallel compression/EQ on kick drum and snare could be useful too.

Thanks for the feedback man! I've updated the OP with two more songs and new mixes of all of the old songs.
I haven't really touched the drums much, I haven't really done drum editing yet to make them sound more like a real drummer with dynamics and "mistakes", and I'll need to come up with a sound that doesn't sound so unnatural. Maybe some impulse room verb on the drum bus might help, fake drums always sound fake to me since there's no real interaction between the drums since every sample has been recorded separately. I'll have to dig into the settings to see if there's any "mic bleed" setting.

I recommend Systematic Mixing Guide as a starting point for drum processing.
As "focused" I mean some midrange punch, and "open sound" in my mind is hi-mids/high accent, because when guitar sound doesn't have enough highs, it feels like there is some "coat" or "barrier" between a speaker and my ear.
In my taste, your guitars have a bit suffocating sound. It could be suitable for some death metal songs, but for modern tones I prefer more sterile, mid/high emphasized sound.

I actually cut the highs from the guitars a fair bit with post eq since I felt they were too bright. Maybe I went a bit too far with it.
But there's the problem that the synths already occupy the highs and high mids along with the cymbals, so there's not much space there without making the synths darker which I don't think would work for what I'm going for. I think I found a pretty good compromise with taking the low pass off from half of the tracks.
Thanks for the hint on the SMG! I found an drum room impulse that Finnvox Studios made of their drum recording room, I think helped me a fair bit.

I've updated all of the songs with a new drum mix and brighter guitars.
Hopefully the drums sound a bit more like a real drummer in a real room now. I still need to edit them heavily to make the less machine like.

Cool tracks, the drums are sounding pretty good to me for this genre, my only thought is that you might want to cut some of the treble either through some slightly lower gain sections or simply with a LPF as right now the fizz is a little overbearing and constant throughout and to me it's covering up your playing too much which is a shame as it's good guitar work! Not that it isn't a good tone some of the time, but it would add dynamic and make it sound more brutal to pull it back a little here and there.

Your new sound is more suitable for this genre of music, i think. Maybe you should make some comparison with different low-pass positions. High freqs are responsible for sound source position - as I've said before, lower the highs - farther the guitar sound seems to our ears.
To me it also seems wider in the stereo image if you have bright guitars.

Man, it sounds really interesting! Maybe try to replace stereo effect on voice with simple panning and/or double tracking, cause it sounds weird a bit now.

It's not actually meant to have that panning effect, just the chorus. I'll just need to find a chorus that does that same effect in mono. And it's supposed to sound weird.

I guess the lyrics need a bit of backstory, the character is a religious man who has been infected by the nanomachines in the ship, but he doesn't realize that and believes he's possessed by demons, and can hear the voice of god (which is the nanomachines giving him instructions).

This sounds balanced, I think it is your best record at present time! The only thing I don't like is drum sound, but it doesn't matter, because you said it will be real drums in future on your tracks.
