Thank you Maurizio, I've just downloaded your back up file and there are so many fabulous profiles to use in a very clear and logical layout. It has really helped me.

What is the difference beteen a rig and a stack? Do we have to import both?

What is the difference beteen a rig and a stack? Do we have to import both?
ThanksIf you load my backup there are all included, otherwise, yes, stacks preset and rigs are in some way different and they can be both useful.
A RIG consists of a complete Stomps-Amp-Effects chain (and needs 3,8 KB memory space). A STACK PRESET have minor memory utilization (2,8 KB) and have only the profiled amp, moreover a STACK preset can be anytime recalled with a simple step.
What I have done is:
1) on the PRESETS STACK I store my main STACK AMPs, ordered by GAIN, with the PURE sound of the AMP PROFILE, on the stack there are also, a section of STOMP profile, a section of BASS AMP profile and a section of ACOUSTIC AMP profiles
2) on the RIGS side, even if I stored the same AMP, they are more tweaked (low or strongly , depending on the case: at least with Gate Stomp, Noise Gate and little Reverb ON; often with Compressor, Dist Stomp and Equalizer, sometimes with modulation effects)Hope it is clear...

Yes it is very clear thanks. Another question if you don't mind... In the total of 1000 selections we can upload in the Kemper, what counts in that ? Rigs only or also stomps, stacks, cabinets, etc ... ?
Thank you! -

Thank you!The limit of 1000 is related exclusively to the number of Rigs...

Hi Maurizio,
I have found a "Ambience Spring Reverb" in the reverb presets.
Ist this kind of reverb an new style from KPA ? -
Hi Maurizio,
I have found a "Ambience Spring Reverb" in the reverb presets.
Ist this kind of reverb an new style from KPA ?No, nothing new on the "basic" style/type (that you can see moving the "type" knob), but the things is that, tweaking the various types in certain directions, other reverb types can be approximated very very well ... that's why, once found them, I saved on the Reverb Presets

Hi Maurizio,
I accidentally delegated the rig you had in performance slot 1. Was some kind of phase auto wah thing and I liked it. Added it to the pool but can't find it.
Do you have one in the exchange by chance? Thanks!

Yes, I think I understood the one your are talking about...
I will send it by mail! -
Maurizio
Is it possible just to load your 'Performance' files into my Kemper?

Unfortunately there is no way to load others performances in the KPA, and there is no way to export entire performances.
I hope they will develop some feature like this in the next releases... -
I will look forward to using it for a song in my band. Thank you.

I'd love to try this, but here's a general question related to using profiles where the names have been changed. If someday you start downloading interesting looking things on the exchange, how do you know you don't already have them?
Sorry if nooby but so far I only dare rename by adding only my initials to any mods I save, just in case I want to know which it came from in case I ever want to re-edit from scratch, like say if i change sound systems or something.

That's true and the reason I do it exactly like you, using my initials. There's simply too many profiles out there to keep trace properly.

Good question here, I made the same one for me
OK, I didn't want to "loose" the information for the origin of the amp, maybe because I will need to reload it RAW, or because I will need to load other similar profiles related to that one and so on... So, what I did is to always leave the original Author Profile Creator and to put in the two fields "Amp Model" / "Amp Comment" the information related to the original profile. This was done more extensively in the last period and less at the beginning... but I can say, at least for me, that it takes not more than 5 minutes to go back to the origin of almost any profile saved in my KPA -
Outstanding work here, Maurizio!
