bobbyodell I have not found nd tried the merged yet, BUT for the 1st time I used my Xitone wedge and QSC pa and the Studio ones sounded killer -unlike with the real cab. But i will get back to you when I try the Merged ones!

Monkey_Man that's primarily what I have done with good luck, however as mentioned above there are certain ones that the did not translate well hence the thread.

Burkhard and I do! However, I just figured out why I hated the Top Jimi VH profiles thru my real tube power amp and real 4x12 cab. The other night I left their cab in place and sampled it through my pa. Bam all the weird low end woofy frequencies were gone and it sounded like the samples everyone raved about. nowhere near as good as a real amp and cab, but good enough for low volume practicing.
This led me to e-mail Jimi and he said 'You need to use the 'Merged' profiles in his pack because they were the closest to the Direct which most agree are the best for those who use a real cab.

evh5150it Falnger was spot on, thanks!

I know many love the Top Jimi VH profiles. With a real cab and power amp they sound good at first, then you hi the low E say with the Chorus rhythm to 'Feel your love tonight' and it farts out with a really wooly low end on the low E string only. I know a real Plexi is not a tight amp but it also does not have anywhere near the compression the TJ adds in there.
Any tricks to dial that out
-
So it's still a 'Beta' version right?
-
A klon and a Timmy woot woot!!!!! I'll wait for the FW full update!

The M Britt 69 Plexi pack is Killer for all things Plexi and of course will cover Ac Dc to a T!
-
Frodebro indeed your right. but the short coming of many profiles is using too much gain and compression ,then when they are going for a less gained tone it is thin and weak.
Is that profile in the Factory or what pack do I look into/
thanks!
Dynochrome is that a factory profile or where do I try it?
-
Dynochrome what i am hearing is two standout things that make a profile un useable
1) Too dark and compressed. Many targeted the drop tuning guys I suppose. Not sure how they cut in a mix
2) Too bright. Bought an Ac Dc pack from a Top seller over the weekend and at bedroom volumes it sounded fairly convincing, however at band volumes it fell apart. The guy that made it may argue 'well it's a bright tone'..... If you were in the room where Angus's cab was isolated I'm pretty sure you would feel some air moving!
I have yet to find that killer plexi tone in the Kemper, but then I've only been back a week!
I'm using a real power tube amp and a real 4x12 cab
I will check out Marco's profiles!
Anyone else find a great Ac Dc tone??

I found this:
PEDAL 3: Wah
[*]If you stick to these default assignments, you just need to plug in the TRS-cable, press “Calibrate” and perform a full swell on the pedal to calibrate it. You can see the changing swell value of the pedal in the display, directly under the soft button. Then, repeat that process on each of the four pages PEDAL 3-6 (Remote) in System Settings.
In this case, all pedals are completely independent. You could leave Volume, Morph, Wah, or Pitch at any in- between position, while working another pedal.
I hope this helps. Calibrating with a full sweep should reset the pedal. If not set up a support ticket request, CheersPre-Amp -
Danides please elaborate! I did not see that in the manual. Is there a vid showing this or where do I get the complete picture described??
One would think ALL the info needed to get up and running could be included in one succinct vid or paragraph, wishful thinking I know!
-
cmbrowns I will try that. Thanks! I just wish you could do this in the editor. So much easier to see the workflow and signal chain in the editor.
But I need to get used to working from the top of the stage for sure!
-
So, system settings, find Wah then I can choose type of wah?? I'll try it tonight, thanks!
-
Good to know, the editor should have all those, easier to see, and it's an 'Editor' right??
Thanks!!
-
Ok pedal 3 Wah -got it that was a missing link!
Burkhard where are the Cry or other settings I'm missing? I only saw Wah at the top of the Wah block, then hi pass low pass. Would being plugged into EP input one mistakenly cause it to not give me the 'Cry' option mentioned?
-
fenderbenderlax I put the TRS into IP 1 which is what the manual actually did indicate. So here is the question, does the block parameters need me to designate which IP? If so where and why doesn't the manual say so??
-
Ruefus it was a Wah block for sure. Orange, in the drop down it was set to Wah, is there another parameter i'm missing?
Manual was super vague....
