I upgraded from Rokit 5s to Equator D5s. No regrets here. They sound great.

Make sure you install the Virtual Box Extension Pack, which is a separate download. That enables USB 2.0 support via the host operating system.

It's funny that people that have never experienced it can explain tons of different reasons for it happening. I had it happen way back in 1.5x area and it frustrated me to no end until I had fixed it (by rolling back to 1.0.4 or something way early.) So when I see these posts pop up I know exactly what they are talking about, but I don't know what to tell them to do to fix it. Mine may have been the rollback, may have been the 20 times I set it to default, may have been dumb luck, but one day it was back to the great sound that I bought it for.
I think it's a rare phenomenon that has not been experienced at Kemper HQ yet. It might be a .01% chance of happening, but I know it's real and I have experienced it. CK asked me for a follow up recording, but when I compared recordings I couldn't tell just from listening to them that they were that much different. But, from the fingers to the ear I could really tell a difference so I never posted a follow up. I hope someone figures it out because I don't want it happening to me again.

I just had the LED repair done and I took mine in personally. He replaced the whole front board, knobs and all. It took about 3 minutes. I don't think it changes anything with the processing, only the front controls. They may have done yours differently, but that is how I saw it done.

Very cool. I was wondering if you used a Mark IV profile. I don't think I would have guessed a Cobra though.

Always interested! Thanks.

Great day one post Bob! I saw some of your youtube videos. Are you gonna profile that Bogner Shiva Japan?

Hi Lonnie,no, the beast mode was not active. I found the resulting sound not as good. And as a Noisegate is engaged it may have caused the Profiler to abort the process, but i'm not sure about that. I have tweaked this profile with a pre stack GEQ and post stack PEQ, dialed down gain and it it turns out to sound pretty close to the REIGN IN BLOOD tone, at least with my Hannemann ESP .
I'll put up the tweaked version on Rig Exchange. Be sure to match the gain to your guitar, i dialed it in with the EMG SPC Boost on full throttle on my axe. Thanks for checking.

I didn't think about the built in gate causing issues with the profiler, but it makes sense.
I like the updated profile. I disabled the post stack PEQ, it was taking some of the bite out of it for me. I'm not using a booster, just straight 81 so I turned the gain back to 5 and increased the GEQ by about 2db across the board to let it hit the amp harder. Sounds good to me!

Helge,
Thanks for the profile! Was this profiled with the Beast mode active?

I have a 2i2. You can either use the Monitor out, or the main outs going into both channels of the 2i2 if you want to record stereo. Make sure the switch is on 'line' and adjust the levels until the ring around the knobs don't turn red. It's a great little device.

I don't use the Peavey, but it is very similar to the Crown XLS 1000 which I have used with great success. It's just like running to FOH.
I have run it through out of the amp to guitar cabinets and PA speakers. Never tried 16 Ohm, but shouldn't be a problem.

Excellent! I look forward to trying these out. I've tried various setups, but I really believe you need the Furman and EQ out front. I've tried to use the built in effects of the Kemper, but I haven't gotten close enough to satisfy me.

Thanks Fluff! I'm out of town, but when I get home Friday night I'll be loading these up.
I got a giggle out of the comment on the video from the guy that said the Kemper isn't good because it doesn't have effects like reverb and delay. It just goes to show that most people are still uninformed about the Kemper.

Did you did it with the Axe?
