I see no changes when toggling through the style settings after saving. I appreciate that we are back up and running after everything. Just wondering if this isn't working for others too.

totally for it.

you just won't have the same experience if you aren't using a speaker that moves as much air as a 12" speaker. but here's an impractical solution that i use once in a while for giggles. it's a force feedback backpack originally sold for use with old video game consoles. i found it new on goodwill not long after i was gifted a pair of Boss WAZA-AIR headphones. as gimmicky and novel as it is, it actually does work and it's rather cool. it was cheap and i regret nothing. well, your appearance may be regrettable.

The unification was a necessary step. It makes more sense to roll it out now instead of holding it back, just to avoid getting the "I'm underwhelmed" comment. Let's face it: It doesn't matter what we do. Somebody will always be unhappy with it
for positivity's sake, "i'm underwhelmed" doesn't invariably equal to "i'm unhappy".

i haven't really experimented with that setting but i'll get to it i'm sure. tbh it's a bit underwhelming that the combo footswitch function is still missing and i don't really find the assign functions very useful. but i'm always happy about the fixes.

i'd also like to ditch the tap from this function or at least choose what else shares the button with the tuner. i have very little need for tap tempo and for every rig i use with tempo purposefully disabled, i don't understand why tap tempo enabling is hardwired to the button. it'd also be nice to not have to need a volume pedal to accomplish something simple like muting to a tuner.

nice, thanks for the effort

don't have one yet but this is really appreciated. saving.

It seems like pack-sellers don't acknowledge the Players' limitations. Comes off more than a bit deceptive especially since there are usually no refunds...

if you aren't literally in the room with them, you're hearing what the source controls and wants you to hear as a finished product. any inconsistencies or faults you find when you plug into them can be explained away with your environment and equipment. when using other people's rigs or presets, you need to tweak them to your taste. they will never be a load-and-eureka-perfect-sound compared to what they demonstrate. you'll get close but there's way too many factors you have to compensate for especially if the goal is pure emulation and not the search for your own sound.

at first i thought déjà vu, but this has come up:
ThreadHeadphones jack, tip broke and stuck. Solution here
In case this happens to someone else.
I googled hard. Then bought screw 4.8x51mm.
First removed the little metal pins attached to tip with thin pliers.
Then pushed screw in and turned with my fingers until it ”stuck”. And out it came?

Unfortunately the tip came off my 1/4" headphone adapter and is stuck inside the kemper headphone output. I can see it but what do I have to do to get it out? Is this the kind of thing I can bring somewhere locally or do I really need to ship my kemper somewhereChicksterMarch 2, 2024 at 10:00 PM -
I'm sure Kemper's UI and such will continually evolve. All of the players in the game want to one-up each other in some areas to push innovation but whatever areas are less stellar, another company will likely make them their focus going forward. However, there will remain a case for users that prefer less of those features for various reasons. Simplicity's sake, less points of failure, less uncommon or not easily acquirable repair components, cost savings, etc. There will never be a perfect box for everyone though.
For me, I really enjoy the minimalism of the Player. It was a big reason why I bought it. But that's because I've had it with all the screens and stuff over the years. I don't want to create or edit on the unit. I want to play using what I already prepared while still being able to adjust basic features on the fly. The Fender does look really great but sacrificing these Kemper tones is not an option for me any time soon. But hey, ya never know what's just around the corner! -
I actually backed them up not long after I got the Player. I didn't have much to lose so I did the factory reset.

you are sure the usb cable is okay?

Nice find, but the OP is looking for something that mounts to the guitar itself.
reminds me of this thing:

every so often, Pantera takes over my stereos and headphones...now is the time for Dime again.

If you would "pay" for more features than why not just spring for the Head, Rack, or Stage?
we know what the other units do and how much they cost. we want to see what the Player might do and how much it might cost. Only then can such important decisions be entertained.

Barely ever used. Comes with case. $1200

In the great crusade against hyperbole, my wife and I have been using MACs and PCs for the last 20 years. Now being sensitive of language redundancies, neither of them are invulnerable to crashing (blue screen, black screen, & freezing are types of hard & soft locking), or malware (viruses are types of), or privacy concerns, or of running out of memory (replaceable on PCs), or of being pressured to subscribe to numerous services, or of possibly needing to trade-up in every 2 years (which is much more of a Mac directive).
My always-on PC desktop has everything it had when i built it in 2015 except for a graphics card i bought 5 years ago and a PSU I bought some time before that. Any major issues I've had were directly caused by power outages and brown-outs but I've always been able to recover relatively easily. My wife's Macbook had to be replaced once because it bricked without warning. Logic boards on Apple devices can just drop dead on you and you're left with precious few options because of their very closed proprietary designs. She also had issues with the display not turning on and the display port not working.
you aren't safer on either platform. neither are perfect but having serviced both along with iOS and Android devices, PC is the best choice for my needs and my abilities. -
16 GB or even 32 GB memory - for what? Sure not for RigManager. For a DAW- or video producing machine.
if you are using a system with a meager CPU and on-board GPU, it is a good idea to increase the RAM.
