Hi all! Posted my first homemade profile of my diezel Hagen (that I just sold since it sounds so great on the kpa!) thanks for the reviews so far. Mic'ed with sm57 and pre from my apogee duet 2. Would love to hear any feedback or thoughts. Thanks!

many thanks, your profiles are just perfect!
Being a Diezel player for 7 years I know how these amps sound, and you just nailed their unique character!

Marked for later.

These far too dark and flat sounding to me personally...Anyone else feel the same or am I the deaf one here?

Funny, that's exactly how I felt about the real amp....

I've owned & gigged 2 Diezels, VH4 and the Einstein. They tend to be darker thicker amps. I liked these profiles a lot. Sounded more in the room to me than a lot of other profiles. Never owned a Hagen but they had that Diezel signature to them. Didn't find them too dark for me but YMMV.

Hmmmm... Guess maybe this amp just isn't my style. However my professionally profiles personal diezel Herbert profiles are so in your face compared to these... Guess sometimes its just hard to tell if that's just how the amp sounds or if it is a micing issue. Just must be this amp I guess.

I compared a (real) Diezel Hagen with my (real) Herbert.
Hagen CH3 = Herbert CH2
Hagen CH4 = Herbert CH3
95%!
Diezel hi gain sound is all about growling low mids, tight punch, fatness. If you´re after more sizzling, screaming, hi-mid tones, for example Engl amps are voiced more in that direction. These Hagen profiles indeed do sound a bit darker than the Diezel profiles already known, including my own.
When you read the tags in the cab section, it says: "7cm, 45 deg., decentral", which is not the appropriate micing technique to get a cutting metal tone. An on-axis SM57 pointing to the place where the cone meets the membrane would have delivered more aggressive results, I´m pretty sure! On the other hand, played with a bright guitar, a strat or a tele, these Hagen profiles do a great job! -
Have to say I'm really liking these profiles; along with ^ r_u_sirius' Herbert profile this little lunchbox has already paid for itself!

Thanks for all the feedback guys! It is a dark sounding amp with that diezel grind. Regards to the mic issue...the mic position tagged in the profile is what was already there...I got tired by that point to put in that info...I basically did the ear test they my iem when mic'ing the cab and chose on axis wherever it sounded the best to me!

I love it. Thanks a lot. My favorite is the CH3 profile. Sounds right to me. One of the best Diezel Profiles out there.
-
i cant seem to find these on the exchange
EDIT -- nevermind, found them -
what cab was used for these?
-
the profiles are very nice. Thanks a lot.

I love CH3 profile and using it my recordings. Thank you very much for sharing them. My preference taking only amp sound and using recabinet 3 when recording. Left Side SM57 with Orange and Mesa Cabs, Right side same cabinets with Royer 121 for more bassy sound.
