Trying to decide whether to budget for dedicated wah pedal - or use expression pedal to control the wah in the Kemper. Any suggestion from users - is the Kemper wah good, great or ok? Its important to me to have a quality wah sound like the Mission Wah, or Dunlop, etc. But if you can already get this quality from KPA i prefer to save $ and board real estate. thoughts?

Thanks! I know there are some guys here who do Pink Floyd gigs - would be great if they can pull that off with the wah from KPA.

Any recommendations on a very good expression pedal for use with the KPA? I assume I can assign WAH, Volume, other stuff to the expression pedal? I'm a newbie to all of this and want to get it working well, quickly!

Hi Gasp, nice too see you here! This is just my taste but Mission Engineering for wha and Ernie Ball for volume are hard to beat. Connect volume to exp1 and wha to exp2. Volume position can be set from Rig menu, both exp pedal type from System menu, from Stomp menu (press and hold the stomp assigned to wha) turn the last knob to a pedal option (default is touch)

I saw this pedal from mission eng designed for the kemper on the sweet water site

Here's a demo with the Kemper Wah (around the :53 mark). Sounds good to me...

No idea, recorded that a while back. Just tweaked it until the range and sound were right. But its 100% Kemper, no external effects.

I just ordered the expression pedal made specifically for the kemper according to the sweet water site:
Sweetwater Exclusive - Kemper Profiling Amp Expression Pedal!
Use the Mission Engineering EP1-KP switching expression pedal to get the most out of your Kemper Profiling Amplifier. The EP1-KP sports a linear potentiometer that's matched exactly to the specifications of the Kemper Profiling Amp, for a precise and natural response. Even better, the EP1-KP has a toe switch that you can connect to your Kemper Profiling Amplifier, to turn effects on and off without requiring a separate footswitch. Right down to the complementary green finish, the perfect expression pedal to control your Kemper amp is the Mission Engineering EP1-KP switching expression pedal. -

Excellent playing and tone! ok i'm convinced - no stomp/pedal wah necessary!

I am using the mpx r1 from lexicon
The foot pedal is configured as wah controller and its switch is set to turn the wah on and off
The sound is ok but the response is a bit slow
Might be a midi issue
There is a thing called high speed midi these days
I will try a seperate pedal today wired to the pedal input of the kpa
This should give a faster response or else we have an issue there with the wah
But as I said the sound is ok with me -

Done, thanks. Was not aware of requirement.
