looks as expected. any other details? weight? availability?
Interesting! Since it's still a prototype, why not to gift it with a service mains socket to feed the KPA, or at least with an "Y" mains cable, to avoid having too many wires going around?
weight: 1 kg
availability: some weeks
Separate power input because a lot of you don't want to send their kpa to us and want to install it on their own.
Very interesting! If it sounds good and the price is right I'll get the 1x180W version right away. Exactly what I was waiting for.
Any information on the pricing and a possible release date yet?
What are you planning concerning the two different versions of the Kemper's backside? Bruno mentioned it here (A dream becomes reality : Matrix stereo amp module for KPA)
Apparently at some point, Kemper changed the back design of the KPA so now there are different ones and it might not fit in some of them? Is this correct and how can we check if the module would fit?
Regards,
Max
Yeah, what Gitarrenschlumpf said is true.
also, if the KPA would be fed be the Camplifier - you would still have to carry two cables. One from the mains to the Camplifier and another one from the Camplifier to the KPA.
The Y-cable is a good idea though since even when you forget the Y-cable - you can always find two standard mains cables to feed the KPA and the Camplifier.
We might add the Y-cable to the options list !

Cool! Estimated price?
Yes, there are two different backs of the kpa. I tested our prototype in my black one and a friend with a white kpa will test it the next days.
Do you also have pictures of the module itself? I mean not inserted in the back of the KPA? Are you guys also planning more powerfull versions? This to increase the needed headroom?
Sorry for all the questions but this all looks very interesting.
There will be 3 versions of this poweramp:
2x180 watts @8 ohms
2x90 watts @4 ohms
1x180 watts @8 ohms
There is no picture from the back of it. Not yet.

Hey, thanks for chiming in
IME, a short mains cable joining the two would be preferable, since it won't go everywhere on stage/garage and won't eat-up a further socket in my powerstrip. That's what I was referring to! I've never though of an internal connection, mainly for the same reason you pointed out
As for the power... I'd love a more flexible option where I'd be allowed to bridge a stereo amp to mono with just a cable\ external control. What do you think?
A bridge-mode for the stereo poweramps will not be available. And if you just want to set a stereo poweramp to mono, you can do this in the output menu of your kpa.
You going to offer multiple versions with for different countries with differing power plugs and operating voltages? Price?

Thanks for your explicit statement. I guess setting the KPA to mono would waste half of the amp's power?

Why? If you send a mono signal to both of the inputs, you can power 2 separate cabs.

Hi,
the Camplifier can be set to a wall voltage of 120V/50-60Hz internally. So you can order a Camplifier for the voltage 120V or 230V.
You can not switch the Camplifier internally by yourself at the moment.
As for the mains socket : It could be done to install a different socket but personally I think it is easier just to use the standard socket and use an adapter cable to plug into the mains socket standard of your country.
This adapter cable can be ordered from us together with the Camplifier.

I expected a much lower price point For a Class D amp with this wattage it is, for me sadly, a turn of.
Well maybe it is for me better to wait for the official Kemper version or the Matrix version. Time will tell.....
Nevertheless Guitarrenschlumpf good luck and much succes with this amp and thanks for the info you shared!
Was hoping for a lower price too. I'm now going to go with a Matrix GT800FX.
I expected a lower price to....
I skip this.....
But nice work..
